I am trying to create a what if scenario for FoG Medieval, and I would like to use a custom designed Squad.CSV, where I created new units (machiavelli's republican army) I went thru all the tutorials and the scenario editing guide, but I seem to miss an important detail on how to have the editor see the .csv file. What else do I have to do besides placing it in the same scenario folder? Is there some script I have to run on the campaign file?
Thanks a lot for the help.

Re: stupid question on squad.csv and scenario editing
Two main possibilities:
1) You don't have #REPLACE in cell A1 of your .CSV
2) You may have put the file in the wrong place in the file tree of your mod.
See the file tree at the end of this page.
https://archonwiki.slitherine.com/index.php/Modding
It is not identical to the file tree in the main game.
The squads.csv file goes in the Main folder of the mod, not in the Scenarios sub-folder.
If you put it in the right place, it should work. If it doesn't, please post a screenshot of the where it is in the file tree of your mod.

Re: stupid question on squad.csv and scenario editing
Thank you, the squad file has the #Replace in A! and it seems to be in the right place in the tree, right under "my campaign" and not under "my scenario", same place as the campaign text file. Do you know if the system reads UTF 8 CSV files or should I used a MS DOS CSv file?
Thanks again

I don't know for certain but (when saving from Excel) I always use "CSV (Comma delimited) (*.csv)"Enrico1969 wrote: ↑Tue Mar 12, 2024 5:44 pmDo you know if the system reads UTF 8 CSV files or should I used a MS DOS CSv file?
not
CSV UTF-8
nor
CSV (MS-DOS)
As I have never tried either of these, I cannot say whether they would work.

The squads file MUST be called "Squads.csv"Enrico1969 wrote: ↑Thu Mar 14, 2024 2:36 am Did the same but still not working...what am I doing wrong?
