Range of a 20cm Flakvierling 38

Post by canuckgamer »

In the unit details for the above flak gun it indicates a range of 2. We are playing the Cobra multiplayer scenario and the flak gun is shooting at air units 4 away. What gives?

Post a screen shot of your unit.

An extra hex pf range is easily accomplished by placing a unit on a hill or mountain. There are also some unique heroes in the game that award extra range as well, though off the top of my head I can't remember any that do so for AA, but it's possible. Someone else will point it out if there is.

The player opening the scenario determines what units-file is used. if he has mods active all the changes from the mods will be in the scenario. Only way i can think of to make a FlaK 4ling fire over 4 hexes in a MP-game.

Sorry my mistake. What I did was click on a German AA with a range of 2, then moved the cursor to a U.S. air unit 4 hexes away. A white arrow showed and a 0-4 combat result. What I failed to realize was that the last 2 hexes had the truck symbol with the disembark arrow. I also thought it happened in my opponents replay but it must have been 3 as he had to have been on a hill. One feature that I would like to see for replays is rewind and pause.
