A direct battle with the two armies marching to meet on the flat. My foe had the advantage in cavalry, me in infantry (though his veteran pikes were superior to anything I can field). The pikes + legionaries combo proved a strong one in this kind of fight and Angus's cavalry was not able to get into position to flank before the damage had already been done. Advantage did not really fall to me until the last few turns. Well-played!

A very close win, in a battle that my opponent deserved to win more than me. When everything seemed lost for Carthago, an unprobable defeat of a pike unit against normal african spearmen broke the impenetrable centre of my opponent army... from then, it was a cahotic battle open to any result.
