JR, you can choose any army with any allowable allies with the time period. You don't have to "choose what's left". If you haven't entered before you have a good chance to field your first choice. Good luck.JacobusRobertus wrote: ↑Wed Dec 20, 2023 9:25 pm I'd like to join. Armies to follow when I 've worked out what is left.

Indeed, armies are awarded from lowest to highest ELO rating within each division. If you're new to TDC, your ELO is usually going to be 1000, so you're likely to be at the lower end of the rankings, depending on how many less successful players who lost ELO in previous seasons return.GDod wrote: ↑Thu Dec 21, 2023 1:57 amJR, you can choose any army with any allowable allies with the time period. All players - Have a look at what allies you can use. Look at all of these army combinations. If there is no real difference between using the main army and any ally, there is no need having an ally. However if using an ally general gives you troop types that you would need, then use the ally.GDod wrote: ↑Thu Dec 21, 2023 1:57 amJR, you can choose any army with any allowable allies with the time period. Your allies, also have to fall within the same time period. So Seleucids are not allowedalexhstandish wrote: ↑Thu Dec 21, 2023 11:58 am Hello

Hey Eric
Amazing, yes I am that Alex. And I only know one Eric from that time, so I'm gonna assume its you !!
First time playing FoG competition. I've played solo on and off, so fully expect to get my butt kicked !
I'll have another look at the Parthian army allies and come back to you.
I guess you know that, very sadly, Bob passed away couple of years back. Much missed.
cheers

Aye tis I mate. You were a very good DBM player so I think you'll have an advantage over players who have not played any Ancients. You'll start on a 1000 point rating. Which will place you in the lower division. It is a cracking game.
Yep, very sad about Bob. Came as a shock to many of us. I think Steve Charlton, may have also been shocked. We had some good times together mate and Bob was one of the true good guys. Been over 20 years!!!!
BTW did you become a lawyer? How's the biking
Re: TDC V Later Medieval 1320-1500AD - FILLED - 2 to open 4th division

Hey Eric
I've obtained the extra game modules so I now can see more army lists. I'll check these out and update my army choices so that they are in period.
I did make lawyer and set up my own practice. Kept me very busy for 20 odd years, hence no gaming.
Still biking madly. Currently got 4 bikes. No longer working so time for games and long distance bike rides.
Good to see you're still very involved in gaming. Are you still figure gaming at all ? I've still got all the armies but haven't had them out for years.

Bravo Alex. I stopped playing TT games about 10 years ago so only play these digital games now. BTW you wouldn't happen to have Nik Sharp's telephone number?
