Anderida - 7/8 November, GB

Post by nikgaukroger »

Meant to put this up ages ago.

Anderida 2009 - "The Flower of Chivalry 1300AD" (DBM) & "The Greeks and Asia 499BC-10AD" (FoG)

7-8 November 2009, The Aqua Club, Pevensey Bay

Anderida 2009 will include both De Bellis Multitudinis and Field of Glory competitions. For FoG, the theme is "The Greeks and Asia, 499BC to 10AD" covering the start of the Ionian Revolt to the end of the last Greek kingdom in India, and armies must cost no more than 1000 points.

Download a printable PDF version of the eligible FoG armies - http://www.rivals.talktalk.net/anderida ... OG2009.pdf

Army choices can be reserved by e-mailing Eric Cruttenden (organiser) and James Parker (webmaster). If in doubt about your army choice, please e-mail the army list checkers for advice: Nik Gaukroger for FOG: listchecker@blueyonder.co.uk

Eric has confirmed that the event will be held again at the Aqua Club as in previous years. There is space for 32 teams - 16 DBM and 16 FoG games - so please send your entries in as soon as possible. Should one of the themes be undersubscribed, if there are sufficient entries on the reserve list for the other theme, these entrants will be approached in the order that they applied to take up these places. Whilst there have already been some email entries, these and other entries will need to be posted to Eric on the attached entry form along with remittance in order to be formally registered.

Registration will be at the Aqua Club from 8.45 am on Saturday 7 November 2009. It is the intention that the first game will start at 9.30 am sharp.

The cost this year is £12 per team. If you would like an acknowledgement that your entry has been received, please enclose a sae. Whilst Eric is happy to correspond with you via email, the registration of your team will be made on receipt of the tear off slip attached and the entrance fee. Formal registration to the competition will only be made by Eric on receipt of the entry form and a cheque for £12 made payable to Eastbourne War Games Society.

Society of Ancients Shield

As you know, some of the Committee of the SOA decide who should receive this shield each year. Bearing in mind that the Committee Members are also competing, they see very little of what else is going on around them. Please, please help them to decide so, if you are aware of any circumstances arising throughout the weekend which are worthy of note, please mention to Dave Edwards or any of his fellow SOA Committee Members - I am sure you will find they will appreciate any help you can give them.
