Muscovites try to pacify East Roman allies in Zaporizhia
Map: Northern European Agricultural
Side 1: Rus (1265CE to 1379CE) Medieval (kongxinga)
Side 2: Cuman 1180-1394 (Medieval) (LuciusSulla)
Cumans (LuciusSulla) defeat Rus (kongxinga) 2-43.
The Cumanian siege blew holes in the mounted formations, while the unwieldy Russian Druzhina and allied knights struggled to bring their lances to bear against the nimble Cumanian horsemen.

Re: Tides of Conquest Late Medieval campaign, turn 4, 1312 CE
Hi alla. Lachiemac hasn't sent me any shifts for a week. I don't know if he's still active, I've written to him and he hasn't answered. I think we should limit the number of days that can go by without sending a shift and consider losing the battle to whoever exceeds them, If someone has difficulties meeting the deadline, they should negotiate it with the opponent and notify them.

1st Game:
East Romans attack German-allied Serbia
Side 1: Byzantine (Central) (LuciusSulla)
Side 2: Serbian (1040CE to 1319CE) (anderarcos11)
LuciusSulla defeated anderarcos11 40-11
2nd Game:

Side 2: Cuman 1180-1394 (Medieval) (LuciusSulla)
LuciusSulla defeated kongxinga 43-2
My apologies. The first game ended a while ago but I haven't had a chance to write the narratives. The second game just finished.
My games with LachieMac are also stalling now, I sent the last turns on Nov 19 and haven't received a turn since.

Re: Tides of Conquest Late Medieval campaign, turn 4, 1312 CE
I guess that's it except for LachieMac's battles. I'll try to get in contact and see what's up, and derive the scores (with a bonus to his opponents) if I don't get a response. He's been very punctual in previous rounds so maybe this is just a technical thing.
Re: Tides of Conquest Late Medieval campaign, turn 4, 1312 CE
Could everyone playing against LachieMac post their current scores?
My method for extrapolating results is to add 10 to the player that did not drop out, then add rout levels in the current ratio until a winning score is reached. So, if the Hungarians are ahead by more than 10 they'll still win, but most likely not by a high ratio. I want to penalize dropping out, but not give the opponent too big an advantage on the campaign map over uninvolved players.

Re: Tides of Conquest Late Medieval campaign, turn 4, 1312 CE
The problem is that the turn is usually in the hands of the player who disappears. For example, I don't know exactly how we were doing in the two blocked battles, in one I know that I won by several points and in the other I think it was also by something closer.

Re: Tides of Conquest Late Medieval campaign, turn 4, 1312 CE
Exactly. Especially when this is more than a week ago.
According to my vague memories:
1st battle:
East Romans attack Hungarian-allied Morea
Side 1: Byzantine (Central) (SS) (LuciusSulla)
Side 2: Byzantine (Epiros) (LachieMac)
I think it is likely around 10-20% routed for both side.
2nd battle:
East Romans intervene against Hungarian allies in Colchis
Side 1: Byzantine (central) (Lucius Sulla)
Side 2: Georgian (1145CE to 1450CE) (LachieMac)
Only early stage shooting at each other. Georgian probably lost one cavalry unit (less than 5%) and no units lost on the Byzantine side.

LachieMac has disappeared from Kronenblatt's Bronze Age campaign also. Really I hope that he's just not enjoying FoGII anymore - I wish him all the best

Do you want to just give me a guess? 13 to 10 your favor in both games, or 18 to 15, or 23 to 20, etc?

In the battle of Serbia, I think it was 0 20, in my favor. In the other, it must have been something like 20-30 in my favor.

Maybe you could press End Stalled Game to get it in the Completed folder. And then open the game and check the score.

I can't, says unknown error and I'm not in the game.
Re: Tides of Conquest Late Medieval campaign, turn 4, 1312 CE
Just a guess is absolutely fine.
Re: Tides of Conquest Late Medieval campaign, turn 4, 1312 CE
Sorry anderarcos - I didn't see your earlier post on the scores. I should be able to.process the turn now.

All right - here are the final scores for the battles. Will enter them into the app and let you know the aftermath. After that, there will be one more turn...

Re: Tides of Conquest Late Medieval campaign, turn 4, 1312 CE
The new Iberian alliances paid dividends for both its member kingdoms. King Nadal annihilated the Portuguese baronial forces and married his son to the dying Portuguese king's daughter, for all intents and purposes snuffing out Portuguese independence. His forces also laid waste to the Loire valley, a show of force that won the fealty of the duke of nearby Normandy, tired of being torn between French and English overlords. It suffered a small setback in North Africa, where its main Muslim ally, the emir of Qustantina, was defeated by the nearby Marinid kingdom and retreated into neutrality.
Aragon's attack on Naples, the so-called Sausage War, marked a major victory for the Iberian kingdom over one of the Empire's main Italian allies. The victory was not quite as consequential, but the impression made by the fierce Aragonese almogavars in the rough terain of the south made an impression on the Italian city states, and several of the Duke of Lombardy's subject cities in the Po Valley reached out to the Aragonese to support their independence.
The Holy Roman Empire consolidated its holdings in the northwest. Its forces crushed a French-back revolt in Flanders and nearby Frisia, suitably overawed, offered to put itself under the full authority of an imperial prince-bishop. Germany also triumphed over the Hungarians whose king, Batur, disappeared mysteriously in the middle of a campaign, demoralizing his troops. Other battles had more mixed results. While the Empire's prestige and influence soared, it faced a half-dozen major rivals on its eastern and southern flanks who competed for the loyalties of the various principalities and marches there, and was unable to cement its hegemony.
The East Roman renaissance continued. Victory over the Serbs saw Constantinople win new allies among dissident factions in southern Italy and the Balkans, and its victories over the Hungarians ended that kingdom's brief bid to be a power in eastern Europe and the Black Sea. It also assisted a confederation of Cuman allies to defeat of a Muscovite push down the Dnieper, prompting a number of boyars upstream at Kiev to rebel, declaring the supremacy of the Patriarch of Constantinople over their prince's appointee.
In the Baltic, Lithuania elevated its standing with victories over Poland and the Teutonic Order. The veches of Novgorod and Pskov signed treaties to ship their goods out of the Daugava River, where the normally hostile tribes had submitted to the Grand Duke. Envoys from Poland, Reval and Moscow harangued them for choosing friendship with pagans over fellow Christians. But the veches shrugged them off, arguing that God had used the fast-riding pagan horsemen to humble their haughty knights and that there was a message in there about humility, had they ears to listen.
