Panzer Corps 2: Axis Operations - 1946 | Change Log
Hello Panzer Generals!
With the launch of Panzer Corps 2: Axis Operations - 1946, we've unveiled the changelog:
- Added Axis Operations 1946 campaign.
- Added 50+ new late war units.
- Added 5 new traits: "Area of Effect 1", "Atomic Bomber", "Atomic Missile", "Minimum Range 1", "Landkreuzer".
- Improved performance of destination predictions.
- Improved handling of units from deactivated mods. When a saved game or core with such units is loaded, the game will not crash, but instead show all such units as "invalid".
- "Heroic showdown" option now has an additional slider to set the number of heroes added to enemy units from 1 to 5. Also, this option no longer assigns heroes to mines.
- Half-tracked units now spend 1.5 movement points over snowy clear terrain, instead of 2.
- Discard transport now correctly returns slots used by that transport.
- Overrun is now only works for zero-range attacks.
- It is now possible to deploy and rebase aircraft to carriers of an allied player (when "share airfields" option is used).
- Heuschrecke Tank now has NoPurchase trait.
- E-75 is now a part of redesigned E series of units, and appears on 01.01.1946.
- Vehicle engine smoke is now emitted backwards, not forwards.
- Rocket flying speed now changes according to "animation speed" setting.
- Fixed suppression tooltip.
- Fixed a number of formatting issues in all localizations.
- Removed "translator's notes" from russian localization.
- Fixed the Editor showing unnecessary parameters for AI orders.
- Fixed Nagato collision box, so it's not detected in random locations
- Fixed shop crash related to JP infantry models after save/reload
- Fixed frozen water displaying incorrectly
- Fixed ground unit staying in the air when Embark command is undone
- Other minor fixes
Thank you to all the players for support the game

That's a huge positive nod towards the amazing modding community and players, really appreciated!
One day hoping for correcting some existing unit movement types, especially some wheeled units that have different movement, but it's a good start!

Thank you for this, just recently got this issue when I messed up my units.csv and unsubscribed from all the mods I had and verified the game files. No I can continue my AO again!

What's up with the Heuschrecke being relegated to NoPurchase? It just got introduced in the last dlc
Re: Panzer Corps 2: Axis Operations - 1946 | Change Log
it was both in the tank tab and the artillery tab. now it´s only in the artillery tab for purchase.Sequester Grundleplith, MD wrote: ↑Thu Nov 30, 2023 8:22 pm What's up with the Heuschrecke being relegated to NoPurchase? It just got introduced in the last dlc

Disable your activated mods before starting the campaign.BaronVonKrieg wrote: ↑Fri Dec 01, 2023 1:27 pm is the upgrade tab broken in 46 ? i cant by transports other than opel blitz and in aircraft section there are only new jets from ao46, any insight into this ?

Re: Panzer Corps 2: Axis Operations - 1946 | Change Log
all mods no longer supported will cause this, since unit enddate will be 01.01.1946.BaronVonKrieg wrote: ↑Fri Dec 01, 2023 1:27 pm is the upgrade tab broken in 46 ? i cant by transports other than opel blitz and in aircraft section there are only new jets from ao46, any insight into this ?
i can vouch for PC1 remake, Storm over Europe and AOredone not causing this issue.
one possibility is to move one of those to the bottom of the mod-manager list.
With the latest update turning off mods will no longer crash the game when importing cores with modded units, just turning off no longer supported mods is now an option.

1.9.3 update soon?
Re: Panzer Corps 2: Axis Operations - 1946 | Change Log
1.9.3 has released in Steam, GOG and Epic stores. Alas, standalone update is not ready yet, which means, it will only be published next week.
If you are using standalone version and don't want to wait, you can try to install the patch manually:
- Download the archive: https://www.dropbox.com/scl/fi/cr5whhu7 ... jiht3&dl=0
- Unpack it
- Open the game's installation folder
- Copy the contents of the archive to the game folder, replacing any files in the process
Re: Panzer Corps 2: Axis Operations - 1946 | Change Log
Is a fix for the Japanese Infantry unit cards being looked at? Is this addressed by 1.9.3? I don't see any hotfix notes anywhere.
Re: Panzer Corps 2: Axis Operations - 1946 | Change Log
You need to restart 1946 campaign to make fix work, right?Rudankort wrote: ↑Fri Dec 01, 2023 6:52 pm 1.9.3 has released in Steam, GOG and Epic stores. Alas, standalone update is not ready yet, which means, it will only be published next week.

Re: Panzer Corps 2: Axis Operations - 1946 | Change Log
Patch 1.9.3 fixes the game, so it no longer creates broken saves. Unfortunately, it does not fix saves which are already broken.
Possible solutions are:
- If the game only crashes on Shop/Upgrade screen, you can finish the current scenario without using these screens, and in the next battle the problem will be gone.
- If the game crashes immediately when loading the save, then the only option is to return to an older save where there were no JP infantry units deployed on the map.
- If there is a broken save which you don't want to lose, then send it to me and I'll fix it for you. rudankort@yandex.ru
