NK Egpytian armour on OG15 figures

I have most of the OG15 NYE range and a lot of the figures, including the archers are wearing some sort of armour. Not sure if it chain mail or something else like cotton. Can someone tell me what it is and what colour would be suitable.

There is an example of a figure on page 54 of the 'Swifter than eagles' army list book.
