Awaiting Kingdoms

Post by w_michael »

My regular group of four friends who have played Empires for a few years now have decided to not play any more until Kingdoms is released. I'm sure that we are not alone in this. A new Empires DLC would reverse this decision. Otherwise we await the new game.

I would recommend the Empires game to anyone. We have enjoyed it thoroughly through many combinations of scenarios and nations. For the last few games we each chose two nations. That is a nice feature as we all picked a primary nation and a secondary one in a different geographic region. The PBEM system works well since some of us are in different time zones.

Rest assured Kingdoms is progressing well and should keep you engaged for many gaming sessions, hopefully!

Honestly, no, the second beta round is about to start. I know the wait has been long, but Kingdoms has much more content than Empires. I also think that, with the awesome job the testers have done, it will be more polished than Empires, despite all the extra stuff we've crammed into it. It's replete with features!

Thank you for the update, Pocus! It sounds like it is going to be well worth the wait! 8)

We are all looking forward to it. I am also going to enjoy the link to Field of Glory Medieval to resolve battles in solitaire games.
