HOML 5 Medieval Challenges.
Challenges.
All matches are Mirror match, 1600 points, Large map, Open Battle.
The Away player sets up the match. They can choose any historical opponent to the Home army EXCEPT that same army or their own Home army. If you leave ‘DATE’ and ‘GEOGRAPHICAL’ checked that will give you the list of valid armies that you can use. The Home player should check that their opponent has used a valid army, invalid matches will have to be replayed.
There are NO Allies for either side.
Use the map that the Home army has selected, or ‘Pot Luck’ if they have not selected one.
So Eric has Away games to rafydedel and Angusborne (the ones in red) - he sets these up. He does not set up the games with tyronec or Lennard (the ones in blue), they will set them up against Erics Arabs. For the rafydedel games, the armies will be rafydedel's Home army (lithuanian) and an historical opponent of the Lithuanians. The map will be what refydedel selected - Pot Luck
.
Players are allowed one map reroll each. You do not need to consult your opponent, just set up the game again exactly as before and PM your opponent. But only one reroll per player per match.
If both of your opponents to your HOME army select the same army, then you can require the second challenger to use a choose a different army. This is to avoid playing the same match up twice.
No Trebuchets are permitted in the Medieval period. Gunpowder arty is fine.
The competition officially runs from 22nd October – 17th December (8 weeks), it is OK to start before then.
You must set up one challenge in the first week (that is one of your two Away mirror matches). Post in this thread and PM your opponent.
You must set up your second challenge by week 5.
Please respond to all challenges within a week, either pick them up or let the challenger know when you will start.
If you don't get a response to a challenge within a week then PM me.
Once a game has been started all turns must be returned within three days, unless by prior notice. Players would generally be expected to average a turn a day or if it suits faster.
If a challenge is not posted on schedule AND the results are not posted by the end of the competition OR if players don't respond to PM's from me then the game will default to the opponent.

You have AWAY games to edb and lunecastle, you can set them up against them using their army.
nyczar and Garokan will set up the games against your Danish army.

(I think you put the wrong date for your army into the list above. As far as I know, there is no "Irish 1050-1450". I choose "Irish 1050-1130" instead...is this correct?)

The tables don't seem to say this I know there should be some misunderstanding. My poor englishtyronec wrote: ↑Fri Oct 20, 2023 4:52 pmDo you have a question ?Hari72 » 20 Oct 2023 15:56

Re: HOML 5 Medieval Challenges.
In the table it seems that I have 1 away game with Garokan and 1 home with Garokan.
Probably I have 1 more away game with edb1815 and 1 more home with edb1815, am I correcy?

Re: HOML 5 Medieval Challenges.
Hello hari72
You need to read the row 12 of the table, which list your home game and your away game.
You and garokan have similar configurations of home and away games but that s against other player, not between you and Garokan.

You have AWAY games with edb and lunecastle, those are the ones you set up. Mirror matches against their chosen army.
You have HOME games with nyczar and Garokan, they will set up those ones.
As Rafydedel says, read along row 12 for the opponents and read their row to see what army their HOME army is.
No problem, any more questions please ask.
