Unity Engine insanity in the news

I will mention, I don't know much about game engines.

On YouTube there is a lot of talk about the Unity Engine, and I guess the people behind the Unity Engine and some actions they plan to take that will adversely impact any dev that uses it in their game.

I'm wondering what the thoughts are regarding this.

From what I have heard, it is al bad, none of it good, and will NOT do any good for devs.
