Division D
Period 1

Questar 17 (Starfleet) defeated rafydedel (Montjoie) 55 - 26

on my advance in center with massed archers covered by medium infantry, heavy and lights chariots i didn't expect that rafydedel would make a big ambush in the wood on one flank which made to me some troubles. Though having numerical superiority in the center i could move some troops to another flank to make some flanking to his troops stuck in melee fights.

Thx for the game

WTC match up - Yanks vs Redcoats
Period 3
Geffalrus (Germans) defeats Morat (French) 43-65

Brutal battle. The Germans brought a larger force including a massive amount of Polish archers, while the French brought their usual horde of snooty lancers. Well, the Chevalier proved their worth this time as they easily rode down the German infantry. Realizing that the melee dice were irredeemably cursed, the Polish allies threw down their spears and said "what if we just shoot them with arrows while hiding in the rocks." And so they did. Many volleys later, the French pincushions were autobroken one after the other, and all they had to show for it was a bunch of new curse words designed specifically to describe filthy Poles who shot arrows while hiding in rocks.

Good game to my opponent.

Division D
Period 1

Questar 17 (Starfleet) defeated zmd (Han) 64 - 43

zmd made a great deployment, so I need to spend some time to beat his chariots by my heavy and light chariots on left flank to save a loosing center and right flanks. At the end of battle quick chariots could made crucial flanking maneuvers to broke his some spearmen/ archers in the center right.

Thx for the game

Division D
Period 1

Questar 17 (Starfleet) defeated oscarius (herd of kiwis) 60:44.
Oscarius line of Greek spearmen with Myrmodons advanced well in the center. So I need to make them to loose the formation.

Thx for the game

angusosborne (Herd of Kiwis) defeats edb1815 (Starfleet) 45-20

Our battlefield had a deep stream with a large bow into my opponents centre. I managed to secure the right edge of that with archers and crossbowmen and lights and a bombard shooting over. And while they had some joy on the other side I did separate their left and centre and find a few flanks for the win.

Period 4

edb1815 (Starfleet) defeated Lynx57 (Montjoie) 60-54

Venetians vs. Ottomans. The Ottomans swarmed with light cavalry and horse archers whilst the Janissaries and infantry occupied some ground and woods on a hill behind a stream. The Venetians mercenary Swiss keil routed early in the game but successfully rallied and routed 2 Janissary units in the end to seal the win.

Group C
vakarr C3 (Assyrian, poisonous Myrmidons) defeated the Mycenaeans Baldrik52 of the Battling Britons C1 58-61.

On the second last turn, the score was 58-58, possibly the closest game I've ever had!! A strong attack on the right flank by the Assyrians was quite successful, and all the Mycenaeans on that flank were wiped out, but this success only resulted in the Assyrian cavalry facing up to a line of spears that they couldn't get around until the Mycenaeans had done some evil work with their chariots and, ironically, the Myrmidons. The Mycenaeans had two superior spear Myrmidon units and they took a lot of work to destroy. My team name was chosen wisely!

Hi All

We have agreed on an adjudicated score of flynnn5555 40 defeated Curry 15.

This is based on

1. flynnn had issued a challenge by private message on the 24th September and had no response
2. He then posted the challenge in the challenges topic on the 26th and had no response.
3. I sent a private message on the 30th September asking for a reply and an explanation to be sent to me within 24 hours. I had no response.
4. I had contacted Shane who had told me CURRY had last moved on the 27th September, which means that there did not seem a problem with CURRY.

I know that flynnn5555 would have preferred to have played the game but we must play by the rules.

Cheers

Period 4

angusosborne (Herd of Kiwis) defeats Lynx57 (Montjoie) 61-33

Neapolitan v Ottoman

Our battlefield was quite bumpy with difficult terrain on either flank. The Ottomans deployed Janissaries and Artillery behind fortifications on a hill on the left of centre as the Neapolitan's saw it. I deployed everyone on the right with the plan to fight everything that was behind fortifications, and I went with minimum light horse and few cavalry in an effort to have as many armoured troops as possible.

Of course Ottoman mounted shooting, and the need for me to drive them off, saw us get closer and closer to the fortifications, but our foot arrived in pretty good conditions and I managed to break in with three heavy foot and two generals attacking one janissary unit on a corner. Meanwhile Balkan light horse had wreaked merry havoc on my light infantry and crossbowmen which is where I suffered most of my losses.

Eventually we broke all of the Janissaries and artillery and surrounded most of the remaining cavalry and found enough chaotic evasions and pursuits going our way for the win. Thanks to Lynx57 for an interesting and challenging game

SgtOgre (Seleucids) of Fraternitas Hospitalaria defeats Bright123 (Ptolemaic) of QIN 61-32

A good tough scrum between two pike armies. My cataphracts and some luck allowed me to pull out the win.

Thanks

WTC Match Up - USA vs China
Period 3
Geffalrus (Germans) narrowly defeats TaBai (Deadly Dailami) 48-64

The Dailami elephants tore a bloody path through the German lancers while the Polish cavalry did their best avoid the heavy Armenian cavalry. The battle only turned in the favor of the Germans when a lucky chain pursuit brought a german lancer away from the rampaging Oliphants and into the Dailami back line. Great game to my opponent. :)
