Introductory comments:
Thanks, to Mc Guba for such a fine and historical representation of the situation in all fronts and as close to accurate battle of Kursk unit composition. This guy has created a game within a game, which I think it deserves to be a game of its own.

Every year, it’s a habit of mine, I like to give another try to Battlefield Europe (BE) Mod. This time is the Kursk 1943 save game.

Look in the installation folders of the game to find it and copy paste to your BE Panzer Corps saves folder, to play.

Main objective: achieve a Marginal Victory, by winning in the East
1943 plan: win the Kursk battle and then attack Moscow from two directions.
Capture Moscow by turn ~65.

Battle Tactics used:
Played on General difficulty

Below a list of some tactics best suited for this map
- Due to limited turns and in order to gain extra prestige -> Suppress, surround, surrender enemy units as much as possible, especially, in Kursk battle and later on in Normandy allied invasion.
- Aggressive use of Recons -> especially in your axis of advance.
- Mass attack especially for the fighters -> west or east to minimize air losses.
- Whenever you can afford the prestige -> buy more artillery to suppress.
- Prefer to defend against enemy heavy armor, with infantry in closed terrain -> to avoid losses in armor.
- Upgrade to Tiger I, a couple of your existing Panzers -> they can achieve a lot, especially 44 and after.
- The cheapest infantry unit is Italian buy some -> to fill the gaps.
- If in emergency situation -> Reload the turn, some times this saves lives.
- When engaging the enemy, kill their recons and artillery first -> then the rest.
- In case your strategic plan is nor working -> go to an earlier save.
- Remember, to upgrade a unit and return it to the front takes some turns -> the closest city from the east is Breslau, the fastest objective to objective rail route is Moscow -> Breslau.
- Beware of partisans, when using rails -> to avoid an ambush use your radar as a train, to travel the distance first and then your cargo train.
- Uboats in south Atlantic, better return them back to France bases immediately -> to take part in D-day defenses.
- Better dont spend any prestige for repairing ships.
- Watch a few videos from great active players like Goose, Soren, Richard on advanced tactics.
