Post by hammy »

At this year's Britcon there was a definite upward trend in number of BGs

Interestingly the two 15mm periods were won by some of the smaller (in BG terms) armies in the comp.

When I am able I will try to do a full analysis but Graham Evan's swarm Dominate only mamanged 4th or 5th while the early period was won by a 12 BG army.

this would an interesting analysis as I practiced this week with my son and our hopefully 25mm armies for Roll call. (He is taking Principate an dI was trying out various options on Dominate roman>14 BG's) both game son handed my army its bum on a plate... :( and in all games my unit of CT did the classic.. disrupted on impact, fragmented in combat and died in his bound when charged... mmmm...

Joking apart... one of the major successes was his using of bg's of amoured 4x HF/MF with the two LF supports. The not loosing of combat die made the difference where as my BG's of 4 and no supports felt the effects.

ya...the little 4paks of Roman heavies with two LF added for what, 10pts, is one of the best deals in the game. That army is next on my list to paint.

Before doing a full analysis are you going to publish the full results??
