Division B
edb1815 (Polish w/ Hussite ally) draws Bagatrix1805 (German City w/ German Feudal ally) 49-47
The battle played out to night fall. This one could be divided into a cavalry fight, which the Pols won in the end and the infantry battle which the Germans won. The infantry fought on a hill in the center whilst the cavalry was initially divided with between the flanks with a giant forest on the German right flank. Once the Polish cavalry slogged through it the cavalry concentrated on one flank overwhelming the German knights whilst the German pikes and keil overwhelmed the Polish infantry and Hussite wagons.

Warg1 Arab (Conquest) 638-684 defeats Triarii Armenian 885-1045 + Byzantine 963-987 allies 61 - 51
Feel a bit fortunate to be posting this result...was tight game throughout but some bad luck with the dice for Armenians cost them here.

A mad swirl of horses and arrows chasing each other on a map cramped someone by mountians, the comparitively solid block of massed archers and skirmishers guarded by medium spears ultimately made several critical interventions to secure the win Thanks for the game

Alexmike1 Aragonese 1200-1274AD with Castilian/Leonese allies beat mberisso Mongol (Ilkahnid) 1230-1353 with Armenia (Cilicia) allies 42-14.
A cagey start from both armies with a lot of skirmishing due to another river dissecting the battlefield. The knights of Aragon got lucky with a couple of pursuit multi-charges mid game.

Triarii Castille/Leon with Granadine defeats Markleslie Anglo-Normans 62-49
A quite restricted map with massed Castillian Knights and a swarm of light cavalry, and skirmishers and a few foot x-bows and spears.
The Anglo-Normans came on and started reducing the space available to the Castillian knights. However continual harrassing by the light cavalry in particular delayed and broke up the Anglo-Norman infantry advance and while the Castillian foot fell back in front of the Anglo-Norman foot knights the Castillian knights did enough damage to the Anglo-Norman spears and missile troops to shade the victory.

Karvon's Minoans defeated oscarius' Sea People with Libyans allies 60-57.
A real slugfest that went down to the wire. We shifted our phalanx of spearmen on to the slopes of a ridge running along the right side of the field while our heavy chariot hammered away at the oncoming waves of the Sea Peoples on both flanks. Our swarm of lights supported by our massed bow firing overhead, poured arrows into leading elements to wear them down. We rather foolishly allowed some of our spear to get drawn out and while they had some initial success, they got trapped and died on a smaller hill in the center. Most of our chariots likewise got worn down by skirmishers and their repeated attacks. A fair number of our lights eventually got run down and destroyed as well. These efforts did take their toll on the Sea People though, seeing off a fair number of their foot and leaving several others fragmented and left behind in the wake of their surge towards our spear. Most of their light chariots fell victim to our chariots and lights. Both armies were near breaking with only a few hours till dusk and several fragmented units exposed on each side.
In a final flurry, we peppered a fragmented light chariot with fire from several lights only to see few arrows fail to shake it. We charged it with a bow unit and it didn't panic but galloped safely away. Casting our eyes about the field we found a disordered light archer we could shoot at and charge and it fragmented and then broke, pushing the Sea People to the breaking point. Our eyes strained to track the fleeing enemy; would any of them rally?
None did, and we escaped with a very narrow victory.
