Thanks to GeneralKostas for a hard fought battle which finally went in the Germans favour when they were able to use superior infantry numbers to win the the climatic actions before the most powerful Roman cavalry units could return after pursuits.

A lively game with the warbands and medium spears competing hard to see who could collapse most dramatically but a mix of horse archers and melee cav on my left overwhelmed their counterparts and swung in sharply to take the win. Thanks for the game and chat

The byzantine cavalry didn't appreciate massed crossbowmen and losing 3 units in quick succession to one angry set of hospitallers didn't help. The Byzantine foot did some damage but not enough to offset the cavalry deaths. Thanks for the game

Night fell as the Poles fell just shy of a win with a fragged German Pike unit just hanging on....

Lots of maneuvering early on made for an all-day battle as the German's sent a flanking force to get around the Polish wagon laager. This left a wing of the German army isolated, so the Polish came out of their fortifications to attack while some units had to hold off the keils.
