Gallic field fortifications - Book 1 page 77

Post by TERRYFROMSPOKANE »

1. "Plashed wood edge can only be used in plantations or forest." Do enemy troops fighting Gauls behind a plashed wood edge count as disordered or severely disordered (depending upon troop type)? They are contacting a wood edge but are not inside the forest.

2. "Wagon lager to protect flanks." Does this description imply restrictions on how wagon lagers can be placed on the field?

Thanks. Terry G.

1. Any enemy bases that are even partially in the bad going will suffer the disorder effects. It might be that the edge of the terrain is straight and the plashing is at the edge in which case there would be no disorder.

2. It seems a bit vague to me. If I was asked to rule on it I'd let the wagons be placed wherever temporary fortifications can be placed.
