DIVINE WIND - RULE CHANGE

- The Mongols have a 25% chance that they will be affected when moving by sea.

RETREATING AFTER A CHALLENGE
If a town/port, or shrine, is taken the unsuccessful defender must retreat to the nearest faction owned town/port, or shrine.
What about the unsuccessful Challenger ?
Return to where they launched the Challenge ?

Battle for Murotsu resolved, the Yuan invaders have been repulsed with heavy losses.
Hojo Defenders 9% Yuan Invaders 40%
The terrain was utilised well with ambushes and attacks from several directions giving the Yuan no chance to form up and drive the Hojo from Murotsu.

KiwiWarlord will move from Murotsu to the Munakata Shrine and free the Monks from Yuan oppression.
- Ahuyton retreats to Happo
- KiwiWarlord moves to the Munakata Shrine.
- A Yuan army has to move there to defend it within four days from the posting, otherwise it falls without a battle
- Hojo force adverse weather effect not yet revealed
- New threat emerges - Ludendorf marshals his samurai and followers at Koshudake

Alex(Hojo)
- Alex takes Katsumoto for Hojo
- GDod retreats to Saka
- GDod moves to defend the Munakata Shrine.
- Adverse weather effects do not apply to a shrine.
- Japanese players defending a shrine must use all warrior monks available.

Re: Sengoku Jidai Divine Wind Campaign
AlexDetrojan(Hojo)62 has managed to defeat Gdod(Yuan)17. It was a tough battle. The Hojo were favored with about 2,000 more troops, a river and rough terrain to defend behind. A flanking maneuver by the Mongols on their left flank was of great concern(their cavalry are ferocious), but was eventually stymied by bow fire from the Hojo Yumi. After that the Yumi archers started to degrade the Mongol hordes, followed up by charges by my Samurai warriors persuaded those smelly barbarians to head to a shrine and supplicate themselves before the gods... Great game Gavin.

Re: Sengoku Jidai Divine Wind Campaign
Question re the Defender of the Shrine Gavin.
Hojo entered the unoccupied Shrine and set up camp and gathered the Monks back to Hojo.
You posted that you moved to " Defend " Munakata Shrine.
The Attacker needs to win the Battle whereas the Defender only needs a " no result " or a " draw " to Hold the Shrine.
As Hojo was occupying the Shrine they must be the Defender and have to use all the available Monks
If not then no Monks are required within the Hojo Army but they must Win the battle to "Hold" the undefended Shrine that they occupied.
OK the Hojo may not have been there for the 4 Days but the Yuan are Invading an occupied territory.
Please state which of us is the Defender.
Thanks

- Japanese players attacking or defending a shrine must use all warrior monks available.
- Moreover, the Japanese are attempting to take the shrine. hence they are the attacker.
