I don't remember the editor forcing me to get one when creating new armies in it.
Also, if there's no bonus from it, but only penalties if you'll lose it, why add it in at all?!! capturing an enemy camp during a battle wasn't common in antiquity, a fistful of battles maybe..
You mean the ...

Hi!
I like to use plenty of leaders too. Maybe its not the optimal setup, but seeing those "out of command" white hands makes me nervous ;)
Before 1.2.6, on my 500 points Ptolemaic army i used 4 troop commanders. Two for the phalanx, in the center, one for the lancer cavalry and another for the MF ...

That Osprey excerpt seems quite strange and not in line with anything i've read about ancient military history.
Saying that a mostly unarmored caetrari wielding a small shield should be considered heavy infantry up to roman legionary standards because their "acrobatic swordfighting" don't make much ...

Re: police
I have a big problem with the ingame chat. Me and my friend are french. So we use some common character that the english has forget how to use them but not having them make reading french very difficult. One example :
Je vais te donner une leçon : I will teach you a lesson.
become :
Je vais te ...

+1 to the "nope"
Whats more, if in historical scenarios the AI is very weak, on DAG games its weakness are still more evident as it does not start with a reasonably organized battle line you may see in many scenarios
It's army selection on DAG games is indeed random... just a little bit of ...

How about if anarchy test were done at the start of the turn for all units and the ones that didn't pass it would be flagged with the A to mark them as "this unit will charge on its own if you don't charge with it voluntarily"??
But the player already knows which units can go into anarchy by just ...

I never played the Tin Soldier games, but looked at them and believe the scenarios were scripted given their static nature. Scripted behavior can yield some challenging games, but scripted behavior is not the same as AI. And scripted behavior falls down in random battles such as DAG-generated games ...

One thing i might suggest is not to assume an AI is good just because the game is challenging... The AI having overwhelming #'s, hard to reach victory hexes etc all can make a game hard without the AI being any good at all. Even the GMT pc versions of Alexender Hannibal etc were challenging, but ...

I have some difficulty to accept the fact that a Roman impact foot unit, considered as a unit, has and will have the same possibility to anarchy charge of a German impact foot unit (think of what has happened at Aquae Sextiae to have an historical example: an entire Ambrones army has charged uphill ...
