Re: Puzzling Midway DEFEAT
Thanks for the comments guys. The key to the win was pulling my carriers back out of range once the Midway invasion fleet was beat, and continually recycling those torpedo planes & bombers. Use those fighters wisely & if you can, try to mix up who lands on what carrier. You can only launch o...

Re: Deployment & Japanese Airplanes
Frankly it is silly and pointless to use two US teams during the tutorial. What's the point? If the game is U.S. against Japanese, then TUTOR it that way! Adding unnecessary complications by using the same nation on both sides of the tutorial scenarios just confuses a new player. It took me a bit to...

Puzzling Midway DEFEAT
I just had a screwy result playing Midway (U.S). Don't remember the turn, but I got a message that the enemy fleet was withdrawing because they had lost most of their planes... OK, I pursued them to the exits... I sank ALL enemy carriers (Got the official Pop-Up msg), demolished the Midway invasion ...

Re: Puzzling mission outcome
Same kind of screwy result for me playing Midway (U.S). I sank ALL enemy carriers, demolished the Midway invasion fleet, shot down all enemy planes (that I could find), sank numerous enemy surface ships & subs. I DID NOT lose a carrier, in fact I don't remember losing a single plane, although I ...

Re: The Impressions of a Long-Time Panzer Corps Player
One more suggestion. It would be nice if units could do a more realistic "rear guard" or strategic withdrawal. As it is now, if your unit fires, it can't move. So it either has to give up the position without a fight or you end up throwing it away. Too often, a unit is in a fortified posit...

Re: "UNDO" button, too softcore ?
"Undo" button is definitely NEEDED!
I can't tell you the number of times I clicked on an aircraft to move it and ended up moving the carrier below it. It is for "oops" situations! Not scouting or "testing" moves.
WE NEED the ability to correct a mistake.

Re: How do I transport Paratroops
Ok, thanks.
I'm playing the Cauldron scenario and wanted to insert some paratroops to reinforce the surrounded garrison.
I guess that's not an option. Flanking the German line to the south seems to work fine.

How do I transport Paratroops
I'm playing Allied Corps and thought I just needed to purchase a paratroop unit and I would have the ability to "embark" from a friendly airfield. That doesn't seem to be the case. The manual says nothing about how to "load" paratroops into a transport. I'm sitting on a friendly ...

Mac version-Saved Games
I must be a real NOOB, but I'm fairly new to the MAC environment and for the life of me I can't seem to figure out where the CEAW saved games are stored. When I look at the "Save" dialog box, there appears to be a "Save" folder, but I can't find it with the finder. I must have do...
