2) all the text descriptions are held in the localisation.txt file. ou cannot just change this file as other txt files it has to be recompiled, instructions can be found in the mod kit available on this forum.

I tested this in the sandbox. 1 on 1, kinsmen v immortals, and kinsmen won quite easily in the melee after suffering 3 casualties due to arrows. Off the top of my head, elite archer barracks are only available for persians and if you are a greekcavalry side then elite light infantry are not available to you. All cavalry seem to be weak, The HC need their defence against projectiles beefing up, LC are especially weak, no armour.

Building Icons

Revisiting Spartan/GoT after many years, can you please tell me how I can get the building icons. Are they hard coded within the exec? In CoW they are in a folder.

Well i made a copy of the lang.str file as lang_a.str and put it in the mod/data directory. Thanks possum but i had tried that before but no go

What i failed to do was make the mod sub directory the same as one of the GoT sub directories

in the Spartan mod it was Grand Campaign which is not one of the GoT maps

I have now renamed it GCBasic and voila success
