I think you have a problem with number of archer elements versus number of HW elements (as neither can outnumber other by more than 2 to 1) - and (assuming memory serves) all the LF bow count as archer elements for this. I also think one of the TCs has to be an ally. I've tried the army a couple of ...

All my experience (admitted limited compared with many on this forum :( ) suggests drilled foot are much more useful than undrilled foot.

Voted for other...

a) Morale effects of BG loss.....as win by killing the weak & unimportant BGs (which wouldn't matter as much to army morale - it makes Zama very hard to refight)

b) Cavalry break-off.....(as doesn't seem to simulate anything real at this scale)

The reason I posted it was two fold..... (a) to check we were understanding semi-complex situations like this correctly and (b) as Mario says .... because it looks so odd as BG 1 routs, so the troops fighting it (BG A) set off in pursuit only to suddenly find BG 2 appear in front of them (so they pu...

Early Zhou Chinese

If you are collecting possible errata...how about this one. Early Zhou army notes state total bases of dagger-axemen cannot be more than twice total of archers and vice versa . BUT in starter army there are 12 bases of dagger-axemen and 39 bases of archers. Noticed this as I was looking to see if I ...

Hi Mario, BG 2 was close BG A. To be honest we moved stuff as we would have under other sets then wondered if we'd got it right etc. So I wanted to explore what we should have done....so thanks fot your thoughts. But I'm not aware of a stop at 1 MU rule (except for the one about pursuers (pg 108)) {...

Hi Phil,

Clearly you found this as I was writing it....as I hit the submit button when I meant to hit preview (so hadn't got the picture sorted out yet!).

Still seem to have a lot of white space between picture and next line of text....not sure how to remove this???

Regards,

Gavin

Early Scots v Middle Anglo-Saxon

Recently my local club got out our 25mm figures so I took along my Early Scots and found myself up against a historical opponent (how unexpected) :) Lost the initiative...so ended up in Agricultural terrain (which mostly ended up on right wing - so I loaded my right wing as the Scots are MF while th...

Routing in Impact phase

Hi Folks, Had a complicated situation in a recent game...so wanted to check if we got it right. Initial situation as shown below: http://s646.photobucket.com/albums/uu185/GavDBM/FOG/Rout1.jpg Orange BGs 1 & 2 were fragmented and broke when charged in impact phase by BGs B & C. {BG2 is facing...
