I think the main reason people take so long to move some times is just a real life problem....ie we have jobs, partners and families to spend time with!

No, the game play is fine, you basically have just illustrated the limitations of wargaming via PBEM and nothing else. Want a long list of other wargames that have the exact same problem?

when i first played PBEM i answer my phone,half into my move, quit the game.so i returned and put the game back on, opened PBem only then i noticed it.ok lets just say a sub attacks,move your ship to counter the sub.

Also, with a good investment in sub tech, you can go around sinking escort destroyers. In my last game against an opponent (in which I admittedly had 9 subs), I sunk over 8 destroyers plus a few BB's (and a CV) so dont underestimate how much damage subs can do if you play well and your opponent ...

If you play w/ BJR mod the war in Atlantic is worth waging. I usually build about 3 additional German subs. That lets you keep fight the convoys and keep an eye on England. I think sub recon can't be underestimated. Without it you won't know whether to go for Sealion or Africa.

ya i know subs are cool, after tec-up, they can be good in packs(i alway make 5-6 subs)
after 1941/42 the oil limits them (so u only have subs up to 1942) oil runs out or very low oil
i think alot of oil,manpower and tec points are all a wasted on subs.
maybe im wrong,but sub v tank kill ratio?,ok ...

I don't think you can load/continue a game if started in a previous version. For example if you started a game using ver 1.06 and then upgraded to 1.12 that save file is no longer playable.
