Re: Run as Administrator
Starting the game by right clicking on the executable and choosing "administrator". Looks like it's not a rule of thumb, then. I think it was one of the TW (Total War) games that I did that and lost the game until I figured out that it was still there as long as I didn't log in as administ...

Run as Administrator
I'm woefully uneducated in this sort of thing. If I am in the middle of a game and (for whatever reason) I decide to login to the game as administrator, will I be able to continue the game where I left off or would I have to log out then back in not as administrator to do so? It happened to me once ...

Re: How do these items work?
Pavelk said, "Btw. having 2k stones is extremely rare and I would bet that it happened in one of the lower difficulty levels." Absolutely correct - I generally play on easy for the less aggressive AI. I don't need the extra resources except maybe at the very beginning but I do miss the bet...

Re: How do these items work?
I don't understand the second statement. I assume that the food patch has been applied to the game I'm playing - the food amounts are quite low comparatively and I thought that is what the patch did. Or, perhaps it means the food patch is applied late in the process so the numbers showing resources ...

Also, when I click on the provided link, I get, "page not found"? I am sorry about that I just corrected the link. Using more food then you are bringing in. Passing the pointer over food when trading will show a negative number. Usually food is around 25 or so - a very small stock pile - ...

Using more food then you are bringing in. Passing the pointer over food when trading will show a negative number. Usually food is around 25 or so - a very small stock pile - so, unless there is more coming in then going out, I'm adverse to trading it. Also, when I click on the provided link, I get, ...

How do these items work?
1. There are several items in the research area that, when researched, have no way to be applied (sneak attack, tenacity, mountaineering) that look like training items but can't be trained. Sometimes I see it happening, though. Do all units automatically get this or do they appear randomly from time...

Re: Victory?
Nothing happened to me but that isn't saying there wasn't a devastating earthquake that affected number 2. When I got the 85% message, Macedon was at 46% and they somehow sank to 25% a few turns later. They are in federation and I may have defeated their federated partner but, no message on that eit...

Victory?
I need some clarification. I just noticed that the military superiority condition has been met. However, I didn't receive the victory screen or the choice to continue or end screen. In addition, I never received an announcement telling me that I was any greater then 85% and am currently at 81%. I've...

Crash Report
Probably not the best place to do this but I sent in a crash report last evening (PST) that was rather sparse concerning crash details. I thought it was a run of the mill thing (routine) but later realized that no saved games would load. So, the details are, click on "load game" which brin...

Re: E-mailing List?
I tried again. Not sure if it worked. For one, I had to modify my login name because of an "already exists" message. Then, nothing seemed to happen and it still said, "not registered" at the top. Is there a waiting period while things are checked out?

Re: No Hoplites for Sparta?
There were number of reasons why we decided to do it this way: Like I said we wanted to emphasise the importance of Crete and in general the whole "islands" culture. Because of you need to transport your units back and forth from Crete, you are "busy" even in the beginning of th...

Re: Is there a way to tone down shipwrecks et al
3. I read somewhere that this game was based on a board game. I tried to research it but came up empty. Does anyone know the name of said board game and whether or not it had sequels? It was based on a board game but it has not been publicly released. Have fun!:) [/quote] Darn! It would have been i...

Is there a way to tone down shipwrecks et al
1. Shipwrecks are a love/hate thing with me. I like that they happen but don't like how often. Heck, I had one fleet that got hit five turns in a row! I'm guessing that means that damage (if not totally sunk) is a percent so never goes to zero. So, is there an easy way I can tone this down? 2. I'm s...

Re: E-mailing List?
No, I haven't. I didn't check trash, however, since that generally only filters mass mailings but it may be there.
EDIT: If it went to trash, I couldn't find it.

Re: E-mailing List?
Well, almost a week and still no e-mail confirmation nor a reply from the the forms (messages) I sent. I guess I'll have to rely on hearing it on the grapevine. It'll take longer but, in the end, no significant difference, I suppose. My bet is that I'll hear it first from GoG (providing Brexit doesn...

Re: E-mailing List?
I guess nothing worth having comes easy. I'll complete this when the e-mail confirmation arrives. I had to send a message since it's been a while. At some point, I'll get this done. :) Now, the article that the link leads to I found very interesting. I've not had much luck with map editors so I stop...

E-mailing List?
This is perhaps not the exactly correct place to ask this but I will. I've played AAR a whole bunch of times and greatly enjoyed it but, it is close to time to move on to another game. However, since I liked it so much, I'm wondering if Kubat Software has some sort of system set up to e-mail people ...

Re: AI Advantage Question and General Scheme of Things Q
1. I doubt that I do. I can load the oldest save from that game and see but there's no guarantee that would be the turn it happened. The reason I assume it's a influence issue is that the information window said Ptolemaic influence had grown and the city decided to join them. Now, in the random terr...
