Alright I have no idea how to acheive this WINDOW MODE stuff...I searched every file in every folder in the Commander file and nothing says error log...not one single thing. Why cant this game just work...I mean really...I cant find a log...I TRIED USING THE RECOMMENED RESOLUTION...still nothing

If you downloaded it recently, I imagine that it is already patched, so that won't help. Can you see whether it generated an error log. It should be in My Documents\CEAW if I remember correctly. Hmmm - I would try taking a look at some of the threads here, there are some solutions described there. One is setting your desktop to 1024x768 (only for the first run) which seems to fix some issues. Beyond that, if you can find the error log file and copy in the last 10 or 20 lines to a post here...
