Sorry to double post.

But it would bring more involvement into the game. Having a League of Allies and recruiting their units, it would be like those states are assisting you, as was the case when the Persians invaded Greece and the city-states formed their Defensive Coalition.

What I would like to see is more involvement when you build things like the League Headquarters. Since, supposedly its a League, it would be cool if you could recruit the units of your allies. Let's say you're the Spartans and need good Heavy Cavalry. If you have a League Headquarters built and you'...

"Now, the Macedonians were Dacians. Then again, so were the Spartans and all other Dorian greeks. So I would argue that the Macedonians were as much greek as the spartans were, just of a later-arriving wave of migrants." If they were so Dacian, then why didn't they speak the Dacian languag...

I've had it for little over a year now, and I still enjoy it.

Now that's a lot of bang for your buck! Great game.

I think skirmishers can use very little tweaking, maybe in the damage output department...

Yea, Heavy Infantry are okay against Immortals, too bad that they get taken out by the time they close with them for melee. Efthimios, Macedonians are DEFINITELY Greeks, but for some reason, they are made different in terms of units as pertains to this game, which is what this forum is about. Alla o...

Which is great because the Greeks get Heavy Infantry (which are cut down by Immortals) and no real strong Cavalry.

No actually. For the Greeks, there are no Elite Heavy Cavalry. The Macedonians are the ones who get them, they get Companions. Aeolians don't. Maybe I'll tweak and get them Cataphracts...

I have used the overwhelming technique against Immortals but it usually requires a force twice as strong as theirs, with decent troops as well. I like that skirmisher attacking Immortals idea. Skirmishers do have a loose battle formation, so they won't get pounded to shreds immediately, skirmisher u...

No, those are the Ionians. Even they get more and better units than the Aeolians.

I guess it's something to mod then huh? I was just wondering if there was some logic to it.

Battle Strategies

I would like to hear and share some of our favorite battle strategies. One of mine is the standard Heavy Infantry in the center with lighter troops along the flanks. I also like Hannibal's very weak center with powerful flanks, so that in battle, your center caves (might hold if your lucky) but your...

Aeolians

What is the benefit of being the Aeolians?

They get the same Cavalry units, the same Light Infantry, the same Skirmishers as the other Greek Ethnic Groups, but the best Heavy Infantry units they get are regular Hoplites.

Why were they made weaker...is there a trade off?
