Which is great because the Greeks get Heavy Infantry (which are cut down by Immortals) and no real strong Cavalry.

No actually. For the Greeks, there are no Elite Heavy Cavalry. The Macedonians are the ones who get them, they get Companions. Aeolians don't. Maybe I'll tweak and get them Cataphracts...

What is the benefit of being the Aeolians?

They get the same Cavalry units, the same Light Infantry, the same Skirmishers as the other Greek Ethnic Groups, but the best Heavy Infantry units they get are regular Hoplites.

Why were they made weaker...is there a trade off?
