I've noticed that it only works... sometimes. I don't know if that's a dice thing or what, but it clearly doesn't do it every time.

Yeah... my assumption is that the maps are generated every time you enter a skirmish in case you run into a map that's just awful. Pool changes as well... probably by design. Sure, you can kinda game the system, but it prevents an obstructed or impossible map scenario, etc..

Morale works kinda well, and you can help a broken unit by supporting it (+15 morale at the beginning of a turn for every ally unit 3 tiles from it). Hmmm... maybe that's what's going on... I run the game in windowed mode and you are correct that this issue didn't occur in .0 RTM. I'll collect the dxdiag after the next crash, oops. Just a side note... I've had the same GUI issues (missing elements/dark) with the .1 release from steam on occasion. I haven't installed the .2 patch. Hey D, Thanks for helping. I was hoping you could clarify your thoughts on 1 and 2. You mention that after a unit dies, the exp bar will fill up completely and then stay that way... then you mention a unit that died gaining a level. I think you're saying that the unit that died/lvl'd had both happen...

You really tore into the poor guy. How about this. I have a Bloodclaw that's bugged and gives me unlimited attacks. Even then... even with unlimited attacks... I've been 6 or 7 attacks in and I'm still just trying to get the shine off Ork armor... I remember that one... got killed with counter attac...

Same here... think I'm going to put this game on a shelf for now. I just can't seem to figure out what works on this mission and I've wasted hours. I'm not saying that I don't enjoy a challenge and/or learning. It's just not fun.
