>Do the lines have to be extending forward or can they be at an angle (severe angle 65 degrees)? The question of whether the target is within the valid arc of fire is also dealt with on p82...just before the section that talks about drawing lines from both front corners to the target. Thanks for al...

I don't have my book with me, so I can't quote chapter and verse, but the rules do say that for a base to target another one, a line has to be able to be drawn from BOTH front corners of the shooting base to the target base without being interrupted by friendlies. I hope that helps. Peter C It help...

Re: Shooting at a target if...
Lets see if I can get the situation correct: AA xxxxxxxx AA YYYYYYY X and A are player 1's lines and the Y line belongs to player 2. Neither player one or player two's battle lines are in close combat (less than 1/2 inch next to each other). The Question: Player 1's A line are gun units. Can he sho...

There is a section in the rules on priority targets that explains the options and order they should be considered. Steve P I am sorry but that section is not clear about whether the target can shoot if their own troops are in the area. There are other war games where this cannot happen and I am try...

Give the guy a break and answer his question
Look it is not that crazy to use skills from the outside world when trying to understand a game....such as reading a spreadsheet in a way that is considered/normal universal. Every other part of the chart has a a single row. In the university, business, and inventory world, someone would look at the...

Question about impact POA chart....
Not sure if I can properly explain my situation. However, I will give it a try. When I first started playing I thought a player looked for their type of BG (Foot with light spear) and then look directly at the entry in right column (in this case a plus unless charging mounted shock troops). However,...

Sorry to beat a dead horse but one more question. Lets say someone has knights against three battle groups. Example one: KKKKKK AAABBCCDD BBCCDD K hits A for zero Hits, A hits K for one hit K hits B for zero hits, B hits k for one hit K hits C for four hits, C gets one hit. Does this mean the follow...

This does help....last question for today...I argued the following scenario the other day. AAAAAA BBBCCCC BBBCCCC Lets say B scores 1 hit to A and A scores 1 hit to B Lets say C scores 3 hits to A and A scores 3 hits to C A needs to make a death roll against 4 with a +2 for a tie C needs to make a d...

I completely agree...again thanks for the help. :D Again thanks for the quick reply. Here is where I got confused...I understood line of command definition, but there are statements like "each commander can only attempt to bolster or rally one battle group in each joint action phase". Shou...

Again thanks for the quick replies. Yes I have never played DBM nor watched it till a week ago and decided FOG was a better rule set for me. I just got into historical armies because of some friends who are rather laid back compared to other ancient players I have met in the past. I have played othe...

My group has been debating this and I could not find an answer in the forums...of course I might be asking the wrong questions. Anyway, this question is about the "Eternal Empire" Later Byzantine army. Now before I begin, in the back of the army book "Eternal Empire" on page 70 i...

Eternal Empire Late Byzantine army questions
Trying looking for this answer for about an hour...so sorry if this has already been answered. In the Eternal Empire book the Late Byzantine starter army lists the Irregular Horse Archers as Drilled, yet the other army lists for the late byzantine state irregular Horse Archers are un-drilled. My que...
