Nice pics and love the base for the squares. Looks really good in 6mm. Hope you continue to enjoy this great game.

Re: The French Invasion of Russia - First Pictures
Lovely pics. I love seeing napoleonic figs on a table locked in combat. Just makes me drool. Haha. I really feel FoG:N looks great on a table. I have to agree with you on the more you play this game the better it gets. I am up to 4 or 5 games now and find I like it more every time I play it and come...

Re: Artillery Attachments
Not sure how you would not have an issue with splitting fire. If a large unit fires at a small unit that has units to either side of it your arc of fire has to encompass more than one unit thus mandating you allocate dice to another unit. Now if you line up and fire on another large unit then there ...

Re: Artillery Attachments
I am not a fan or placing them with artillery because they expand your frontage as well. For targeting purposes this expands your arc of fire and means you might have to allocate dice to additional targets because every target directly to your front arc of fire in the same range band has to be alloc...

Re: Defensive Fire
Personally I would like to see a clarification or really probably an Errata about this topic of charging past units. this seems to be a major issue of confusion in the rules. For one, it is not clear in the rule book and seems to constantly pop up in game situations. A forum post by the moderators i...

Horse Artillery
Are horse artillery only allowed in a cavalry division? The information on divisions on page 17 of the main rulebook is a bit confusing to me as to whether 'horse artillery' are 'artillery' as per what is allowed in mixed and infantry divisions. They say they can have one artillery, but I am unclear...

Recovery Test ?
Have a timing question for when you take a recovery test with broken units. on p71 the last sentence says "broken units must attempt to rally during the first Recovery Phase after it becomes broken". Is this your next recovery phase, or does this include your opponents recovery phase as we...

Re: First Impressions
Brett, I agree with you that it is bold to head in a new direction with these rules. I am sort of happy for the change. I really found the similarity of the renaissance rules to the ancients to be a negative to me. I have not wanted to try and sort out the nuances of those two yet, and have pretty m...

First Impressions
Played my first game and would like to leave a few impressions on how it went. First of all I had been long awaiting the release of these rules and had been getting ready for release by getting things based as best I could from info from the forums. I only had to make a few changes to handle the att...
