If you want to rationalise it, the longbowman ran out of arrows, had the indignity of being outshot by Cavalry who no doubt took out a few element leaders and the sight of all those horses heading ther way was the last straw.

Not sure how much having stakes around would help the thought process ...

I'm itching to put together an "El Cid" army to take on the arab/moor army my friend is building following Wolves from the Sea. I was gutted to find this army is not in WFTS as the Normans of the same period are. :( :shock:

Guess I will have to wait for Oath of Fealty - but when will this be on ...

i had no idea they had these in the works, as i thought they specialized in the obscure or previously poorly modelled, but it is nicely timed for the release of wolves from the sea!

I have been playing with a lot of skirmishers, (Granadines, Andausían and Fanatic Berbers in the testing), this armies have some lancer cavalry, and now I´m reducing the skirmishers in my lists and increasing the number of Drilled lancers as much I can.


I prefer even Drilled cavalry lancers to ...

i'm thrilled with my venexia later hebrews for DBA! I recommend them highly, the chariot minis are just proxies from other armies, the venexia minis are dedicated bona fide hebrews

Maybe it's not the MUs per turn but having so many troops, or just enough of a kind eager to fight, that you just lay them down and go for it? Undrilled types so you can't afford ...
