Nice progress. Good to see you are finally pushing into Italy yourself - taking Venice and Milano would hurt French production enough to make things easier for you in France. Besides, your Austrian flank seemed over-powered and under-used anyway. I expect Paris to fall in two or three turns. Venice...

Unmodded the game works fine for me now. Therefore, I imagine, my previous problems were due to my modifications. Questions then: if I want to successfully mod in new leaders and change the old ones what are all the files that should I mod: So far I make changes to land_leader.txt and land_leader_ge...

Are you using a modded map or a modded scenario? In that case make sure you delete the Commander Napoleon at War folder under "my documents" so that game recreates it and compiles the scenarios again. If that does not work, please mail the autosave created (in my documents/Commander Napol...

No, thank you - can't wait until the next patch. EDIT: One more problem. I thought it was happening because of modding the data files, but now with the clean re-install and patch applied it is still here: The game freezes after French turn 1 in campaign of 1805 (did not check the other scenarios yet...

Suez, carry over from CEAW? I too agree that it has no place in here and is totally irrelevant to the gameplay. Move, deselect and retain an ability to attack... I too wish this feature was in, but in the same time it actually forces me to plan my attacks with more care, which I am happy about. I wo...

On both Austrians and Prussians, I've changed only Archduke Charles and Blucher Archduke_Charles 7/1/1 He was among best leaders of the era, after all he inflicted the first tactical defeat on Napoleon. That puts him side by side with Wellington, only the latter was fortunate enough to face Napoleon...

I'd like to confirm Saxony bug too - gets annoying seeing this message every turn.

As to France not moving away from Berlin... could it be that it is trying to crush Saxony? ;) Again and again and again?

.... Maybe coalition should wait for some reinforcement before attacking .... French would get reinforcements too ;) I think the trick is to use Coalition's numerical superiority to deprive French from its production bases in Germany and Italy (possibly Netherlands and, if conditions are rig...

The last mini-map seems to imply French build up in both northern and central Italy. Are they gearing up for a push toward Rome (after all, their offensive options are limited and Italy seems the only place to expand at the moment)? Austrians too seem to be slowly creeping across the Alps. First map...

Going through Spain meant dividing your forces and allowing France to smash the English invading army while fighting defensively in the east. If you attack German states you will be able to land English forces near Bremen thus joining the rest of the Coalition army (left flank - Austrians, center - ...

Ok, let us tackle England now. Wellington 7/2/2 Picton 6/1/0 Hill 4/0/1 Uxbridge 6/1/0 Moore 6/0/0 Crauford 5/0/1 Pack 2/0/0 Beresford 4/0/0 Cole 5/0/0 Pakenham 5/0/0 I've bumped Wellington's leadership skill to 7 (previously 6). I am not going to raise him above neither Kutuzov nor Davout. He comma...

Speaking of which, I've yet to win that campaign on even playing as the French. Each time I've played I capture Brussels and earn a stalemate, but I run out of time before capturing the other two cities. Has anyone figured out how to overcome this? Seems like you concentrate too much on the left wi...

Modding Leader List

With all respect and admiration to the Dev Team, the leader list is flawed, at best. I am going to release Leaders Mod soon, but figured it would be better to post the changes here first and see if most of the players will agree to them. The main idea is to give high Leadership stats to commanders t...
