Hi, I've played a few times and clicked everything and the game won't crash. No matter what I do, it's completely stable so far. It's very smooth and fast in terms of processing and gameplay on a Q6600 quad core with an nVidia GTX250 on Win7 Pro. I can't tell which units have transport. Am I just mi...

Windows adds a space at the end of the password if you cut and paste. Try deleting the last character. I found this out because I'm too lazy to type it in manually! :D

Here's my first impressions: Easy install, but the game wouldn't run under Windows 7 until I granted it admin rights. I have a seperate partition on my hard drive for games only and installed to that, so it wasn't installed in the default folder. The graphics for the game intro and front selection s...

Please consider a Fantasy "Corp" style remake somewhere down the road, I think there are a lot gamers that like to slaughter orcs and elves , deploy spearheads of steam tanks and divebombing eagles etc etc. Yep, I agree totally. A fantasy and/or steampunk wargame would be an essential pur...

This is great news indeed. It's ambitious considering the accolade Panzer General received and because the comparisons are inevitable - high expectations from the start! However, judging by the other games from The Lordz Games Studio and Slitherine, I'll be more than happy to pre-order. P.S. Good to...

I think all those who post in other forums that this is a light wargame haven't made it past the tutorial. Glad you're having fun. You're absolutely right. It does look very much like a light wargame, but looks are certainly deceiving in this case. It's a shame if people are taking it at face value...

Familiarity breeds contempt! :-)

Hi all, So, I've been working my way through the first campaign and getting along quite nicely thank you. I began Hold the Pass this evening whilst sitting relaxed and confident, a nice cuppa by my side. Needless to say, I got absolutely hammered!!!! I managed to hold on by the skin of my teeth unti...

Not really a grog - I won't be arguing that the armour values are wrong by a couple of points ... or should I? It's just good to know how things work and BA is a beautifully, in the word so tarnished by politicians, transparent game to delve into. Besides, you never know the info might he...

Wow, it's threads like this that make me realise just how much of a non-grog/amateur wargamer I really am  :D Fascinating stuff, but equally baffling.

Hi again, Thanks for the replies. I've finally figured it out. I have to go into one of the already created campaigns in order to create a new one. That's really confusing :) When you first enter the editor and before downloading any extra campaigns, it offers to create a new one for you. However, t...

How do I create a new campaign to place a new scenario in?

Hi, Having only just gotten time to spend playing, I bought the game today, finally! Being on the beta team originally, I'm already familiar with the game and am itching to have a play with the editor. However, after downloading some of the freebie campaigns/scenarios, when I try to create a new sce...

Hi petirouge,

No worries. I've tried it with both games and can log into multiplayer again.

Thanks very much for your help :D

Thanks Iain.

I tried logging into FoG with my forum password, but it just fails each time. I'm getting a similar result with Battlefield Academy beta when trying to test the game.

EDIT: In case it helps. I'm getting the error: Authorisation failed code 10.

Hi Iain, If I go into "my page", the only way to change the password is to input the existing one, which is the one I've forgotten. There's no option for having the password reset or a reminder sent out that I can find. So, I'm stuck unfortunately. What makes it confusing is that the forum...

Thanks Pip.

I'll carry on working my way through scenarios, but will also begin playing with the editor over the next few days. Once I get mp working, I'll get in touch with ostwind about the game they posted.

Cheers,
Lea
