An update: I found a post on another webside that indicated Midieval Kern shields were wicker or wood, with plan leather covers. So, no decoration or coloration. That makes my job easy, but it seems they'll look pretty plain. Anyone have any other thoughts?

The first time I played FOG, I thought it would lend itself well to later periods. I, for one, would LOVE to see a Napoleonic version of the rules set.

Greetings all, I am adding skirmishers to my HYW continental english army, and picked up some of the great Corvus-Belli Irish Kerns with javelins. I've got them basecoated, but am struggling a bit with how to decorate the shields.... I have some VVV transfers, but they are more "english" t...

Great AAR- Thanks for posting. I am in the process of building an English HYW army, and based on what I have read in the forums, the concensus seems to be that the battlegroups of Longbow are most effective in groups of 8 bases. It appears you run yours in groups of six. Was this for easier movement...
