I reloaded the save file attached here but it still hung up after applying the fixed class file. Even though the patched version of the game.class file did not help me get the attached saved game running, I was in fact able to start a new game against the axis AI and play it to the end without any ...

I reloaded the save file attached here but it still hung up after applying the fixed class file.

Will this address the issue of the game hanging up during the German AI turn (but not the allied AI turn)? My personal experience is that those hangs do not occur during convoy movement, and if it was convoy related then it would also happen in games against an allied AI. Sorry if this is referring ...

It looks like the 2.1 update is still available for download, in the announcement section of this forum. Just run the installer and it will be like a separate game is installed.

Actually I play the game mostly on the medium zoom level, so I usually don't see the really big counters with all the stats on them. The issue of Germany declaring war on Sweden could certainly be addressed if the developers wanted to, I had pointed that out in a previous thread. If you read the big 600 page manual for GS, you will see how the game was edited to prevent Germany from declaring war on Switzerland. This same change ...

I doubt that it will be addressed. It just seems that the game has gotten too complex for the German AI to handle. Really there is no challenge playing the German AI, even in previous versions. At least in 2.1 it never locked up on me. GS has many little boosts to help the German AI, but it seems no...

Several more attempts later, it would seem that GS 3.0 is unplayable against an axis AI. If anyone has made it to the end of a game without the game hanging up, I would like to hear about it. Well ports are not just any sea hex, in the game they are called "seaport". My battleship can't sail into an enemy port, so it seems that convoys could be prevented as well. But maybe not, who knows. I just ran a few tests, and ships (other than convoys) will always avoid enemy ports, even...

Third time now the game has hung during the AI turn in as many attempts to play a game. Save file is attached in case anyone wants to take a look. Never happened to me with 2.1. Originally would not run but then ran OK when I installed it in the same folder as my CEAW installation. (game bought from Slitherine a month ago and 3.0 patch downloaded from Matrix as soon as the link appeared in this thread)
