Re: Pontic Imitation Legionaries
As Mithridates' army was described as being luxuriously equipped with lots of gold and silver, shining armour, silk etc how is it that in the FoG lists he couldn't afford to kit out his imitation legionaries with enough armour for them to count as "armoured"? Seems a little odd as they are, after ...

What I hate about FoG is multiple complex combats where you get units that don't line up, some are disordered so lose dice but some aren't, some files are missing back ranks so have different POAs to their friends next door, then you've got to work out who did what damage to who afterwards......

Feel free to knock up ...

The problem is the list which allows the multiple 4 base BGs of bill and therefore allows WOTR billmen to zip around like Roman cohorts. You shouldn't have to be devising tactics to deal with that in the first place.

I have a Yorkist army and I've found that deploying bow in front of bill doesn't really work. The bow shoot for a while then move behind the bill where they spend the rest of the game doing nothing. (By the time you've finished trying to get the bow out from behind the bill into a better position ...

Well I have to say I didn't feel ripped off. My opponent Steve seemed a very nice fellow who deserved to win, though I have to say his ability to roll 11s and 12s seemingly at will certainly helped!!!
