Livy is to say the least a biased source. To accept his claims the Etruscans were effete and cowardly and only a threat because of their huge numbers is risky. However it is likely that he will be a bit more accurate as to who Rome was fighting in a particular battle. I think we can accept some Gall...

Opponent wanted for Dark Age Franks.
Looking for an opponent in West Kent or London to take on a dark age Frankish horde. I can probably make it fit either the Merovingian or Carolingian lists in Wolves from the Sea.
N.B. Has anyone else noticed the Carolingian Starter list seems to be illegal. It has Gascons and East Franks.

The 1500 to 1660 period is the hardest for rule writer to get right. At the start you have armies which are very similar to Late Medieval armies but which quickly develop new infantry formations combining missile troops and pike. (in Western Europe at least). The problem is to represrnt thse combine...

It does not seem to matter which rule system people use with Burgundian Ordonnance. The army seems to lack something. My thought is that it lacks enough good melee infantry. Historically of course it was smashed in most of its battles, though that might be blamed on Charles' poor generalship. Perhap...

Opponents wanted
Anyone playing FOG in The area around Wood Green, North London. I have some 10mm toys which I can cobble into several armies, and a part painted Medieval German. I am also trying to finish a Slave Revolt Army (I'm a sucker for rubbish armies).

Scottish Allies 100 Year War
The listing for Scots Continetal Allies in Storm of Arrows is, to say the least controversial. Dismounted MAA and Longbowmen. I would like to knw the sources for this. Not saying it's wrong but this is a radical revision and I'd like to check it out for myself.

Light Spear POA
Cavalry Light Spear is confusing me a bit. Does it only count when all other POA cancel out or if the unit with it has no POA? It seems to cost the same as Lance but to be really inferior in game terms.
