I recall hearing about this problem in an earlier thread. If I remember
correctly the question was asked if their were any Mods installed.

Re: indestructible
Some good points Brettz123, Johndoe didn't do himself any favors by not suppressing first. Don't know how many times I Thought to myself "should of suppressed him first" when I figured I had an easy kill. I would still like to know if the IS was full strength pre-combat and at what point h...

Re: indestructible
Have you actually read my post? That's all I'm gonna say... I think what he is saying is that if you had suppressed him enough with artillery and strat bombers and then attacked with your best tanks first this probably wouldn't have been an issue in the first place. I don't see any artillery in ran...

Re: indestructible
" a design derivation that still shows on today's battlefield. That can't really be said directly of ANY other WWII tank, including the King Tiger."
Very true, that fact is often overlooked during any ww2 tank debates.
the King Tigers high profile was never copied post war.

Re: Guderian level of difficulty
Who was the author of "The guns of August"? I'm going on vacation
soon and could use some new reading material while on the flight.
John Keegans "the first world war" is pretty good also.

Sounds good! We need a Prussian Easter Bunny. Schlieffen perhaps...Kamerer wrote:balone, your comment reminds me of a quote from Napoleon. Regarding German militarism, he once famously said, "Prussia was hatched from a cannonball."
So maybe we could call them "Prussian Easter Eggs."

Re: Reward conditions in Gazala
Reward can be obtained if southernmost airfield is triggered as victory objective and if player meets conditions for decisive victory. Ok, so it does require a DV. I thought maybe holding the airfield And a MV would good enough. I'll remember that on my next play Through. Thanks for the prompt resp...

Reward conditions in Gazala
Some help on this subject would be appreciated. I received
the reward but others have not with seemingly similar
situations. The reward is 4000 prestige for holding the southern
airfield. I received the reward the second last turn before a DV.

Re: Gazala hints?
I received the message about midway through the scenario and
well before I destroyed half the core units. Maybe level of difficulty
Has something to do with it? I'm playing on colonel.
Maybe a new thread On this subject should be in order?

Re: Gazala hints?
Nobody mentioned the 4000 prestige reward for holding the South east airfield. That was a nice surprise and relief as my Forces needed lots of reinforcements. I also noticed some more of those hangers east of Tobruk. Any free units for taking those Out? say what?! Do you have to get a Major victory...

Re: Gazala hints?
Stecal, don't give up. There is some good info in this thread. I to Have had trouble with Gazala but took some suggestions from the people here and I think I might actually get a DV. If you don't have 88mm AA's then get them. I had the piddly litte SP type but they Just don't have the crippling powe...

Restarted the scenario again just to have a look and they back to where you reported them. I guess they do move around.
