Re: Winter Modification

I'll second a request for clarity on using a modded game in MP - however, if the devs were to take up the good suggestions in the forum that'd be even better :D

Re: The Baltic Convoy

Easy way to test would be in an MP game. Seems a bit gamey though the CPs would be welcome ;)

Re: Criticisms Aside, I Am Enjoying This Game!!!!

This is a fantastic game. I think the problems are aspects that don't quite live up to the high standard of quality set by the game itself. It's just that certain systems, particularly naval, and balance issues remain to be ironed out. It's nice to be able to say that and know it's true - I can thin...

Re: Vom Auflösung: Scrap both CP Battle Fleets!

Try this in multiplayer however and you'll see French battleships pound your two value 6 coastal cities and any garrison inside, and possibly Entente landings too. I like all the ideas for making the naval war aspect more interesting and historical, but naval power is actually quite useful as is.

Re: Trying to Simulate the Blockade

I like this idea, German could use the buff too, especially in MP.

Re: Scrap the Russian Fleet?

IMO the naval aspect of this game is a bit underwhelming atm. I'm thinking of modding it so fleet and upkeep costs are lower, and generally giving more ships out. ATM there's no necessity or ability to struggle for the seas.

Cannot download CEAW

Hello, I purchased CEAW some time ago and was going to redownload it today (my PBEM opponents have been waiting a loooong time now) and I've been stumped by a complete lack of anything to do with how to download it. I thought I would have a confirmation email but it's either accidently been deleted ...

I too believe that the current Candian/Polish representation is ok, with the exception of R-M pact, which could be represented in other way than the partition happening before 1st of September... I think the design choice was made that it's easier to put the Soviet units in their start positions fo...

There too, Canada (like Australia and New Zealand) had seen its troops take horrendous casualties in the First World War due to incompetent british leadership, and was highly reluctant to suffer that again. I agree that Gallipoli was a debacle, but the above quote is absolutely wrong... If you read...

We have movement penalty and effectiveness drop during the USSR winter already simulating mud and snow. I think his point is rather that the Rasputitsa sets in in the autumn and the spring - the frozen ground in the winter was a lot easier to move over than the torrid mud of of those seasons. For e...

Looking to play PBEM games (1.04) as either Axis or Allies, and am negotiable on house rules governing say, the use of the units of Axis minors, whether you're allowed to rebase air units across the sea without putting them in transports - stuff like that. Only one I'd really suggest is restricting ...

What is the historical reason for Finnish troops operating only close to their border? Political or military logistics? Also, good point on the Anglo-French cooperation. I think it would be interesting to be able to have a chance to capture fleet units (damaged as a result or intact) when one conqu...
