I would love to see a Soviet AO-style campaign starting in Spain and continuing through the end of the war.

Re: Bug Reports
So far, many of the maps in AO41 and AO42 have the wrong variant of Soviet AAA guns on the map. Most (all?) of them start with the AT version, which makes taking apart these maps with airpower a bit easier than intended. I've taken to using the scenario editor to remove them and add in the proper AA...

Re: Bug Reports
Thanks for the quick reply.
Edit - I would not use any KV-1's because I like the challenge of using primarily German vehicles. The one exception so far has been the Panhard. I wish I had captured more of those, because they were really, really good until the weather got muddy.

Re: Bug Reports
I just finished Klin and saved the convoy, but didn't get any pop-up from the convoy commander. I looked at Tassadar's AAR to see what the pop-up looked like. Is there a specific location at Rzhev where I was supposed to put the convoy vehicles? Or did I not get the pop-up because I didn't have 100 ...

Re: Making units surrender?
I experimented with it some more and basically could not figure out how to make the artillery surrender. It always got destroyed by my infantry. My recons either could not damage it enough or just shot it to pieces. I did figure out how to capture 14/15 KV-2's. So, at least I have that option if I e...

Re: Making units surrender?
Thank you. I will consider that in the future.
That would, of course, allow them to keep shooting at me until they ran out of ammo.

Making units surrender?
I am curious how to make units surrender. I never seem to capture stuff, except by accident. In the AO 1941 Smolensk mission (great mission btw!), I saw the opportunity to potentially capture some more Soviet equipment once I encircled the city and killed off the infantry. But I simply could not fig...

Re: Thoughts on SCW and AO1939
I dislike Warsaw, I find it boring, it's too big and the force we have is so small, we just go sector by sector. I would have preferred if we just dealt with one super-dense sector instead of the entire city itself. That is the mission design, you should go sector to sector. But I agree, I also don...

Re: Commendations, Caches, and Collectables
Killing De Gaulle could be a perfect elite objective. I think you can kill him 3-4 times, so if you do that you get some tokens and you can use them to get a speciell hero, or maybe his tank with some speciell traits...plenty of options :) I'd love to see a "battlefield promotion" type he...

Re: Commendations, Caches, and Collectables
This seems as good a place as any to ask a question about enemy special characters. Does DeGaulle come back if I manage to kill him at Sedan? He's been a cast-iron bitch with his Prudent trait (and I am using that setting that gives all enemy units +5 strength). I finally have him cornered on a hil...

Re: Artillerie-rework
One other thing: I know the topic of this conversation is artillery, but does anyone else find the Pak 36 to be too weak against early war tanks? Mine get beaten up every time they get attacked directly by enemy tanks or armored cars. Yes, I know that ideally they should be in the second line (whic...

Re: Artillerie-rework
Additionally, one thing I did was to make the 7.5cm gun able to move two hexes without transport. This enabled me to use it to effectively support airborne operations. I know that there are some mods that add actual airborne artillery units, but to me it is just as effective to make the 7.5 we alre...

Re: Artillerie-rework
Personally I use 15cm most of the time because they defend vs. soft and hard attackers. As long as you dont have heroes to compensate that, that is just the best way to go, range is secondary. I got no idea how to change that in a good way. Precisely. While 15cm artillery takes more slots than 10.5...

Re: Artillerie-rework
On the subject of the 15cm artillery: I absolutely hate it. It's too versatile in the human player's hands. I understand that artillery of all calibers could be used to provide fire support against a tank attack. I understand that a 15cm shell landing on the thin armor on top of a tank could have de...

Re: Artillerie-rework
It would help a lot, if i was able to modify the counterbatterie trait to fire after the attacking artillerie fired and not before, which of course is complete nonsense. Sadly this is not possible atm, let´s hope the modding kit will show up sometime. Things to consider is adding the "move or ...

Re: Artillerie-rework
Eh, idk, I think how artillery works right now is pretty balanced for the game's mechanics. 1. Hex scale can change dramatically from map to map, from several city blocks to several dozen km This is spot on. As I mentioned before, I spent many years modding a game called Blitzkrieg. The original de...

Re: Artillerie-rework
One thing about which I have wondered is why there is no A-19.
