Re: Best Place for Questions?
Not sure if you've seen Warrior, but it is similar to FOG in many ways, but significantly more complicated (in ways that I'm not sure are worth it). I will take a look at it. I will still stick with fog at least until I can play a few games and understand it better (easier to compare to other games...

Re: Best Place for Questions?
Honestly it's a bit weird how it seems to have completely disappeared on this side of the pond. Looks like we need to bring it back. I looked at a few of the other rules and most of them felt like either controlling only one person per unit, age of empires style, or grid based civ style. FoG was th...

Hey 76mm, this is currently the only Field of Glory Ancients and Medieval online community I have found. I am also based in the USA, midwest, bit far from dc. Like you, I have found the FoG rule set very compelling and have been looking into it as my first tabletop wargame. I will let you know that ...

Re: Amendments to V3?
Or new players like me who are just getting into it because it seems the most appealing of all the rulesets.
I will say it is hard to find IRL players in my area though, so I am trying to setup a way to play virtually.

Re: Army list total bases
Yes that is one of the legitimate combos you can do
When it comes to more complex rule sets I suggest making a mini checklist of the restrictions. Then when you decide your army comp you just need to go step by step.
have fun!

Re: Army list total bases
Hello Jim, I took a look at the section in question and found this relevant instructional bit on page 4 of book 1 2024-07-01-173908_1191x553_scrot.png So if we look at the spanish cav it reads like 2024-07-01-174122_908x218_scrot.png Your army must contain a minimum of 4 Average Spanish light cavalr...

Actually could use thoughts on this one as well.
Debating between making a bunch of random shapes, or a few simple shames and make it possible to layer them to make your own custom shape

Looking for feedback on the unit visuals Pt 1. In order to keep things simple I made my own symbols inspired by NATO symbols. All bases are the correct size for 15mm ruleset. https://imgur.com/a/hEPVcdN Not sure why the inline image is not working, added direct link above. Edit: Fixed inline, keepin...

Discussion Regarding a Vassal Engine Module for FoGAM
Hello Slitherine Representatives, Everyone else, I thought it would be really cool to be able to play the Field of Glory Ancients and Medieval Tabletop online since the community is fairly small and scattered, near as I can tell. However, I did not want to proceed without confirming that I would be ...

Where can I buy a physical version of the pdf?
Hello Everyone, I recently discovered that the rule book for this game is being given away for free on the slitherine site as a pdf. I was wondering where I can buy a physical copy of the pdf. Allow me to clarify, I am looking for ane exact copy of the pdf. I realize there was a version of this book...
