Re: favorite armies

Hey guys, new to the site, but I have a couple of favorites probably in order: -Ottoman Turks - any period -Samurai - not the best army, but fun to play and colorful -Tupi - at least under DBM with Bow(S). These guys were CRAZY to play. One huge blob and steam roller forward. Never had the figs, bu...

Re: Bow Armed Cav and Evasion

Hey Richard, Thanks. I'm sure looking forward to doing minis again. I really enjoy crushing the life out of those knights. Usually people who take them are ... hmmm... of a certain type (thinking that they have supermen) and I like disabusing them of that notion while they chase me around uselessly...

Second half of 2008.

Re: Bow Armed Cav and Evasion

Hello Jason. I think you will like the mechanics of bow armed cavalry in FoG. Bow armed cavalry do shoot in FoG (that may seem a redundant statement, but they don't explicitly...

Hussites are in the Rise of the Ottomans book. 15mm figures are readily available for this army, plus of course you'll be able to use your WAB army in "big toys" games I would think. Roger Greenwood has used them in 15mm games and thinks the army is quite playable 8) Any clue as too the t...

Bow Armed Cav and Evasion

Well, Mr. Smith, I am really looking forward to this next set of rules. I just found the site, so I don't know much about the set so far. However, my pet peeve has been a problem with most rules sets regarding bow armed cav. Unless one plays on a huge table and/or with little figures (say 6mm), I ha...
