Seleucids - How does this army handle?

Hi everyone, I finally picked up a new FoG army in a trade, an Old Glory 15 "Seleucid" army. It's an interesting looking army, complete with pikes, heavy cavalry (which I love), and war elephants (which has me intrigued). So, does anyone have any experience with the Later Seleucids? If so,...

Re: PELICON II FOG Tourney, Pensacola, FL

Can't wait to see y'all in action. I won't be playing myself (hopefully I'll be picking up a new army though :D ) but I will enjoy watching some games played.

Re: Let's Talk Mongols...

I appreciate the feedback. I got really discouraged for a while but my friends encouraged me to keep at this. And I think that a IlKhanid Mongol army is new goal. I like the IlKhanids and Hulegu. Now, I'm excited about this again.

Thanks, folks.

Re: Let's Talk Mongols...

Thanks for the input! Yeah, the Mongols are a favorite of mine. When I originally got into this game, the guys at my FLGS discouraged me from getting a Mongol or any other Asian army because of they might be a little too rough a beginner to handle. I'm not exactly a wargame newb and I have plenty of...

Let's Talk Mongols...

I've determined that I'm not a fan of the current FOG army I have now. My concentration in school was Middle-Eastern/Asian studies, and I always had a fondness for Mongols (they make any party better, kinda like Chex Mix). IlKhanids, Mughals, Golden Horde, the whole nine. Mongols are fun. However, t...

Re: Post-Roman Britons

Very cool. I started going to Bobe's regularly last year and made some good connections. I started my minis career doing Battletech and now expanding into FOG. I'm the local Demo Agent for CGL and feel obligated to a Btech demo at Pelicon (which I consider my primary game, anyways). But beyond that,...

Re: Post-Roman Britons

Cool. What made y'all decide on doing Tourney's on the Gulf Coast? Not that I'm complaining, but B-ham is a decent drive from here.

Re: Post-Roman Britons

Shouldn't need the figs, but this is my first big army. I look forward to meeting you nonetheless. Where do you play in B-ham? Legion? I'm from that area originally.

Re: Post-Roman Britons

Assuming I can get my army assembled and painted by then, I would love to try to get to Bayou Wars. As for Pelicon, given I have the time (I'm the secretary of the club and stuck handling setup/breakdown, and everything else no one volunteered to do) and the other players have no objections to me mi...

Re: Post-Roman Britons

Berthier, I'm actually one of the organizers at Pelicon II this year. I'm doing a Battletech demo from 11-1 pm so I may not get to play in the Tournament, although I would love to try to get in a game here and there if possible. Bob taught me how to play a few weeks back and I fell in love with this...

Re: Post-Roman Britons

Thanks. That actually does help a good bit. I'm still making the adjustment to thinking in more large scale tactics.

Anyone else have any experience with this army?

Post-Roman Britons

Hi everyone, I'm a brand new player and just bought my first army: Post-Roman Britons. So far, I've demo'd the game once at my FLGS and really enjoyed it. Being a big fan of mobility and firepower, and having to choose between Mid-Repub. Romans or the Britons, I chose the Britons. The employee at my...
