Yes, but he is arguing only 3 files, not 4.

So my hypothesis is that the lancer on the left fights the file in contact and its right-hand neighboring file as an overlap. The lancer on the right fights the base in contact and there is no overlap because the base that would have overlapped if the chariots could conform has been turned to face ...

No Phil. 15mm. I think the table would have broken if they were 25mm :D (and I would also be bankrupt) Terry The Achaemenid Persians identified as 15mm in the flicker (nice paint jobs BTW) are absolutely identical to my 10mm persians (except mine are merely blacked with a white drybrush at this sta...

Re: Breaking in the JAP

The question(s) In the detailed turn sequence breakdown there is no place in JAP for all the consequences of combats etc the way there is in impact/shooting/melee sections. Ie, no initial routs (with associated VMDs for both sides etc), no morale tests for seeing routs. 1. Assumably tests should st...

Breaking in the JAP

Not being an expert searcher of forums, I couldn't find any answer to this. The odd situation 1. mounted unit pursues into steady foot unit during its own turn. 2. unless we got it wrong (entirely possible), this is done as an impact combat in the next impact phase 3. it is now the foot's turn. They...

The fight against Mike was annoying! He had like 10-14 shooty dice against a...

Another factor in the equation is Support.

Prot/Sup need superiors (or elites!) to support them, Armd/Ave can be supported by Ave - sometimes by very cheap Ave troops!

Hammy, VERY slight with the -1 on the CT at impact only. I am completely bemused as to how charhing chock cavalry have a better value in melee than they do in impact? I can't find any other instances in the rules where this happens. Even my useless numidian light cavalry armed with a tea towel to w...

Re: 10mm basing

How do you get 2 ranks of the 10mm figures for heavy infantry on a 15mm depth base? You can't! Unfortunately, 1 rank of 10mm figures looks lost on a 15mm base depth. Are the rules then saying that 20mm depth of base for infantry should be used? Would then fit in well with warmaster! Sure you can! A...
