Ah, thanks for that.
Seems strange that shock mounted are at more of an advantage if they stand still and let impact foot charge them. I would have thought the other way round.
So lancer armed Cavalry/knights/cataphracts will be +1 POA if they stand still or level POA if they charge versus impact ...

Impact foot POA - "unless charging shock mounted"?
I'm sure this has been asked before but I can't find it using search. Sorry if this seems a dumb question
Does this mean:-
a) the impact foot are charging (i.e have moved in the impact phase to contact) the shock mounted
b) the shock mounted are charging (i.e have moved in the impact ...

Oath of Fealty - When available?
I'm itching to put together an "El Cid" army to take on the arab/moor army my friend is building following Wolves from the Sea. I was gutted to find this army is not in WFTS as the Normans of the same period are. :(
Guess I will have to wait for Oath of Fealty - but when will this be on ...

Heavy Artillery - pivoting
Hi,
I have read through the rules and note that Heavy Artillery cannot "move".
However, can it pivot on the spot.
I could possibly understand this for Bombards but it seems very strange for Roman bolt shooters.
If they cannot move do they turn to face if attacked in the flank/rear or do they not ...

Battlelines in combat
Hi,
I was happy with my understanding of battlelines but a friend at the club has read the rules and has a different inturpretation to me. Can you please confirm which view is correct.
My understanding is that Battlelines are essentially a manouvre thing and quality rerolls can be utilised for CMT ...

Plashed wood edges and carts as field defences
What are people using for plashed wood edges? Does any one know of a supplier of appropraite terrain markers?
Also what size are the bases meant to be for waggon/carts as field defences? Are they a specified depth (obviously 40mm frontage for 15mm) or just large enough to fit a waggon/cart on ...

Help please - images of French heraldry for 100 Years War
Can anyone point me at any sources of pictures of French shield/surcoat designs for the 100 years war period please. I've got most of the Osprey series already.
There is a great photo of some French Knights in Storm of Arrows - can the owner tell where he got his designs from please.

Campaign supplement???
On the "Restricted zone clarification" thread under the rules section it was mentioned....
"and more are in the draft campaign supplement"
What is going to be in it and when might it be out, please?
Also mention of completion of the Dark Ages and Byzantine supplements - any dates for those as yet ...

Rear support for 2 BG - need to be in column?
Sorry if this is being a bit dim  but I have seen on several threads the mention that to support 2 battle groups a unit must be in column at the juncture of the two units (appropriate distance to their rear).
I have been fielding Gauls with 8 strong BG. Why does it not comply to have an 8 ...

Death of CinC or allied commander?
Aside from the cohesion check to nearby units, are there any other effects of losing a CinC or allied commander?
They do not look to contribute to Army rout/degredation or result in loss of use of allied contingents? Presumably you simply carry on as before - just with less command and control?
