Re: Battlefield: Europe MOD v2.4
They are still there - as the initial setup represents the historical force setup. (If you do not change the 3 Panzer, 1 fighter, 1 tac bomber collection). So yes, they are there but they do not have extra kills and/or optional heroes yet. I've always wondered - if you do the earlier scenarios does ...

Re: Battlefield: Europe MOD v2.4
Well in that regard I do not see the justification of Luftwaffe inf units as in the briefing for Barbarossa is stated that Hitler was moved out from power. That would mean all the national-socialists big heads would have been also ousted out. So Göring too. And so Göring could not have organize a di...

Re: Battlefield: Europe MOD v2.4
I started the preparations for 2.5 - I made the pre-scenarios as I think there will be no big changes and I can continue than with Barbarossa 2.5 (Almost finished the Kursk save - I will post later the results.) As I will play with Double Rommel (25% prestige) and Field Marshall, Dice Chess custom s...

Re: Battlefield: Europe MOD v2.4
Yes, but as I know only Allied SE armored units are present. Yes, the SE units have by default camouflaged clothes. (Later in 1944 all German inf units can have camouflaged outfit.) I haven't played 2.4 for a while but now I can't wait for 2.5! My question, because I can't remember: Do the German SE...

Re: Battlefield: Europe MOD v2.4
How 'gamey' do you think is to let the enemy units on the mercy of 1 strength point and use them as shields, or place users?
Earlier I did not use this tactics but this time I feel forced to do it in a few occasions.

Re: Battlefield: Europe MOD v2.4
That's a pretty solid defense line! 8) I think I never bought mines as I earlier only played on Rommel where (at this late stage of war) every prestige point is needed elsewhere. Here was my original defensive line in France with my 3 minefields. You can see each minefield has both an artillery and ...

Re: Battlefield: Europe MOD v2.4
How could you get the mines transferred and deployed to the need places? Once I tried this method but the air superiority of the Allies made it impossible to transfer them without heavy losses. In my latest playthrough i placed several minefields to help with the defence of France. I noticed that th...

Re: Battlefield: Europe MOD v2.4
If I will play some time from the start, I would this time also probably change the core to 3 panzers, 2 fighters (I always used the original setup as intended). If there would be enough prestige than even go for 3 Pz IV - while the are a little weaker in 1940-0941 than the Pz III's, with the long b...

Re: Battlefield: Europe MOD v2.4
If you can conquer England relative early (I think it is possible mid 1943 at the earliest), there will be less problem.

Re: Battlefield: Europe MOD v2.4
Yes, I know that. I meant maybe the British night bombing - because of less so accuracy - could have less than 150 prestige per hex, let say 100. In that way, the player could be make different strategies to counter the Allied bombers. Hmm, I don't know the historical results, but should not do Brit...

Re: Battlefield: Europe MOD v2.4
Hmm, I don't know the historical results, but should not do British night bombers less damage as they are that time not so accurate? This would balance the stronger defense stats.

Re: Battlefield: Europe MOD v2.4
These are great new or modified features! Especially interesting are the new modifications for the Atlantic war. We worked so much on it to find the best suitable solution, maybe with this we get even closer to that goal. Some questions, proposals: 1., "it is also more important since the addit...

Re: Battlefield: Europe MOD v2.4
I would say, if you have to set a priority, Leningrad should be on the lower level: the theater is mostly quiet until 1944, so you do not need to have much guarding units there. And when you have all the power (Karl-Gerät...or even just some Panthers... ), a lot of arty, probably strat bombers...

Re: Battlefield: Europe MOD v2.4
Maybe.
But the tons of reloads and the dice chess adds also a lot of predictability to it.

Re: Battlefield: Europe MOD v2.4
OK, I know I play a little different playstyle, but with the Dover landing, I do not see the need for Panthers (...they are needed in the East... :D ). I replay right now, but not because of the Sealion, and the initial landing was a StuH42 (late), 2x Panzer IVH (late, one big hero) and a St...

Re: Battlefield: Europe MOD v2.4
The uboat force is needed to assist Sealion so I take no chance to weaken it. OK, I use the opportunity and destroy the prey at the first turn. 😎 Personally, I think a late Sealion is more difficult. Plus, I have the impression getting oil as fast as possible became also more important in version 2....

Re: Battlefield: Europe MOD v2.4
I was sure that somehow the Brits anticipated my Invasion: Their fleet from Scapa Flow was already at the Leeds-Sheffield line when my troops just set their feet on English soil! Now I understand why and how. Interestingly there are those two "holes" 52:42 and 53:41 which are no 24-zones. ...

Re: Battlefield: Europe MOD v2.4
Theoretically all three operations are possible at the same time. (Plus taking Tobruk and advancing to Egypt.) In 1941 you have the force for that. OK, the Caucasus takes more times. I'm doing this right now with the Kursk save: advancing to the Caucasus, Sealion'44, Holding out at Kursk and before ...
