Great! This game is awesome and I prefer The Great War to CEAW. But WW2 is the more interesting battle, so CEAW2 would be much appreciated!lordzimoa wrote:CEAW2 is on our list... but no more info at this point.

I got the same experience from the start of the game to 1944. I may not be a very good player, certainly not at naval battles, but the axis player is ruling the Atlantic with his subs in a quite ahistorical way. I got max ASW tech quite fast, but it seems I need max surface ships tech as well to be ...

Having trucks and jeeps make an infantry unit motorized, not mechanized. Sure, add mechanized artillery and other armored vehicle units (including tanks) to that unit and you could call it mechanized even if it has no APCs. It's still very unsatisfying to simply imagine that there are tons of tanks ...

Well yes, that's all fine and dandy. The russians did not have anything resembling the german Sdkfz 251 for their mechanized corps however, but they did have a lot of tanks. The german Tiger tank played a role in the war, they created the fear of panzers that you mention above. Allied troops saw Tig...

Yes, the Tiger tank had between a 5:1 to 10:1 kill ratio. In CEAW german tanks will never get that ratio because there simply aren't that many allied tanks built! What we see is instead the russians building hordes of almost as efficient, but cheaper, mechs. Mechs also seem to have better air defens...

Well you had the KV tanks as well, big beasts that the pioneer troops had to destroy by hand so to speak. The point is however, that there is no incentive to build a lot of tanks for the russians. The problem may be the scale and the cost, you can not swarm the map with tanks and have a few survive ...

I think all such units are pretty cool. One thing I enjoyed with the old board game World in Flames, which very much resemble CEAW, was the ability to build V-rockets and also... italian frogmen! :D I think the brits could build mini-subs as well, like the ones that raided Tirpitz etc. But those are...

Tanks in CEAW
I don't really see the historical amount of 57000 russian T-34 tanks (/76 and /85) being built in CEAW. The germans will just bomb them to pieces. The T-34 shocked the germans and Hitler said in talks with Mannerheim that if he had known he had to destroy 50 000 tanks he would have thought a second ...

Naval battles
As axis, I never seem to be engaged in naval battle with the AI, and I got the Kriegsmarine parked in the english channel. And yes, they are in engage mode. I get occasional reports of skirmishes, but there are never any real battles. Working as intended?

Re: The music
I just downloaded and installed the game. It looks nice, going through the tutorials now. I just got to mention the music. It sounds really bad, like it is out of sync a lot. This makes the drums and the rhytm suffer and it gives a schizophrenic impression. I had to turn it off which is a shame. Do...
