Jolly good!Actually, it was not overdone.
A lot of Officers, especially senior ones were like that. You have to remember it was a different era.
I might suggest changing 'fellows' for 'chaps' though.

Re: Allied: Border Raids
I thought you may have overdone the "Britishness" of the initial briefing, almost becoming a parody. The later texts are OK. Overall, scenario is a nice intro, but maybe on the easy side unless you want this to be an introduction to PC for new players. The first Polish scenario in DLC '39 ...

Re: DLC '44 West #06: Villers-Bocage
A great, different, city-fight, nice break from Stalingrad and Warsaw. You may have overdone Wittmann a bit - while certainly he had a flair for attack (seems to the point of recklessness) - +50 attack seems a bit over-the-top. Otherwise, good, tough city-fighting. If you tone down Wittmann, you mig...

Re: DLC '44 West #04: Beaches of Normandy
Fun scenario, but I can't help but feel it was a little tame. I ended up taking all the beaches and killing everything on land, and it felt way too easy. I think the naval gunnery support needs to be a lot more vicious (didn't do much damage, and mainly focused on the aux troops), and there should b...

Re: DLC '44 West #01: Anzio
At the end of the scenario, you are told that you are getting mines, and that you need to "claim them", but no explanation on how that is done. I discovered by accident that you had to click on them, but I don't think this is obvious, and should be called out.

On the buy equipment screen, the SdKfz 10/4 entry doesn't have any picture.

Re: DLC 42 West 07a - Etna Line North
Seems more balanced in the newest beta. Did see one strange thing - attacked a US self-propelled arty with a FW, and at the end of the attack, the FW just dissappeared? What gives? It was at 12, was damaget 2 in the attack. When I checked, it was gone from the unit list... Ah, mystery solved, turns...

Re: Incorrect hex names in Grand Campaign
Thanks, yes this seems to be the same issue. I noticed the names substituted in The Hague scenario were the same. Not a big deal, except for the captured units that I'm missing...

Re: Incorrect hex names in Grand Campaign
Some more details: After saving and resuming the The Hague scenario, I am seeing the same problems. When I first entered the scenario, everything was correct. After re-loading, The Hague has become Utrecht, and most of the other names seem to be in error as well.

Incorrect hex names in Grand Campaign
Hi, Not sure if this belongs on this forum or not, but I've been re-playing the early Grand Campaigns in order to have a stronger force for '42/'43 West (stumbling in the last Italian scenarios), and I've noticed that the hex names have been swapped around so that they are incorrect in several scena...

Re: AK: On Road to India
With the well-dug-in first line and the Fireflies, this is a pretty tough scenario from my angle. Still not done with it, it's actually the AK scenario I've had the most trouble with so far.

Re: AK: What I like or what I dislike
I agree that the scenario name should be more clearly shown, but there is a trick to find out: save and see what the default filename is.

Re: Movement- and Fire-Icon
One slightly related comment: I've seen some of the new units (Brummbär and one more I don't remember) have their fire plume (when attacking) displaced so that it does not match where the gun is. Looks strange.

Just finished this; pretty simple compared to the slugfest of Arabia, but good to catch your breath! Nice to have a scenario with an amphibious landing.

A real slugfest! The British tanks are really a handful in this scenario. Unlike the previous scenarios, definitively tough enough. Lost a few units in this one...

Re: AK: Caucasus
Just started on this one, noticed that I was able to upgrade to Panther for an SE unit, but not for the regular units. Intentional? If so; very cool, makes sense that SS would be able to get their hands on some hot HW ahead of regular Wehrmacht. Haven't noticed this before, is the difference so smal...

Re: Changes in Beta 2
Overall, I like these changes. Could you explain a bit more about what the SdKfz heavy gun change involves? An idea for animprovement: - I would like to have an option to see the scenario text (shown when you progress from one scenario to another, but not when you re-load a scenario), would it be po...

Re: AK: Persia
Starting prestige ~3000, were able to overstrength all my tanks and add a couple of units (Brummbär, Sahariana). Agree with previous postings that mixed allies seems strange and non-historical. Overall, I thought this scenario was too easy, compared with the previous ones (Iraq and Basra). Especiall...

Re: AK: Basra
Agree with some of the other folks here that this scenario perhaps is a bit on the easy side, at least once you get across the river. The airborne assault was a nice touch, but not enough to make it really hairy. Mines, as someone else mentioned, might be a good option. I did try to pull off an airb...
