Norway Campaign

Why is there no snow on the ground with this map, it is supposed to be April 1940. Are weather
conditions properly simulated in the game, as in HOI4?

Thanks, that's a good plus point for the game.

Germans always lose

In PC 1 Germans always end up retreating back to Germany. I found this despite getting a small
win at Stalingrad. Does this still happen in PC 2 or can Germany actually win the war. If not, then what
is the point of this game.

Re: Your screen resolution

Anthedon wrote:I'm playing at 1920x1200. And I'm suprised how uncommon this resolution is becoming, it's not even in the poll.

The game runs perfectly fine though, I never had any interface issues whatsoever.

Same here too.

Missing DLC3-GC1941

I have just replaced my PC and cannot find the set up file for this. I backed up
all the other DLc's except this one. The serial number is listed in the resources section.
How do I download a copy or do I have to purchase again?

Many thanks

Re: French Campaign Misery

I started the whole thing again from beginning, currently on Narvik mostly Dv's. The main thing I notice is my constant lack of Prestige and the almost limitless prestige the AI has. The previous scenario was a trial against the russians but I could not break out from my defensive positions they had ...

Re: French Campaign Misery

Well straight away I see the major difference here is the number of units you have. Usually my maximum is
around 20. How did you get all those extra slots? From DV's maybe? No wonder I am struggling!

Re: French Campaign Misery

I could not breakthrough the Dunkirk defences, Arras they had too many tanks, and Lille was supposed to be French Reservists on low morale did not turn out that way. In fact the only way I could get a minor victory was to use the prestige cheat. My main problem is contantly having to resupply or re...

Re: French Campaign Misery

I notice from the Sedan video he does not reinforce his units a lot, which I tend to do with standard replacements during the game. Maybe I should only do this at next game start as these then cost nothing, and then use elite to overstrength them. Using normal replacements during the turn is waterin...

French Campaign Misery

Playing as Colonel with DLC content, Mostly DV's up to France, then I struggle. On Sedan no matter where try and attack there are simply too many enemy units. Worse still later on I capture French general and around a dozen French units appear out of nowhere and I fail. Where do they get all the Pre...

Re: Thinking of buying?

Ok, a bit odd though, I wonder why anyone would want to buy a German version in UK, unless speaking German. They dont actually say it is in German, but I have them an Email asking this. Whilst on the subject does the Slitherine Boxed copy include a full English Manual as I dont really want to read t...

Thinking of buying?

I have just found an internet company called Grooves-Inc who are selling this game for £20.90! 1 am
not sure if this includes full English manual though. Anyway I dont know whether they are any good, and why should I buy from Slitherine for around £60 instead.

Thoughts anyone?

Piatek Scenario

I tried this again, but this time instead of placing infantry on river (objectives)bridges I placed them only in river cities, otherwise placing armour one hex behind the river bridges protected by artillery and let the AI take the objective, as opposed to being wiped out. This worked a treat and se...

Yes, perfectly true.

Welcome to the forums, tonyUK. The tension between realism/history and playability is one of the hardest for game designers to resolve. The Germans may have rolled over the Poles in Sept '39 but it would be boring to do that in a game without some good resistance for challenge's sake. That said, ma...

1939-1940 DLC Polish Campaign Dissapointing.

Mainly because I think it is unrealitic. The Poles have far too many air and ground units, particularly armoured. Cavalry seem as strong as tanks. When I got to Danzig I was on my way to capturing all objectives for my first decisive victory, then on the very last turn after I moved a unit out of Da...
