Re: Russian conscripts
Balanced units equally benefit both single player and multiplayer. MP is a good "test bed" which can highlight problems, this is the reason why it makes sense to listen to people who share their experiences in that mode. But ultimately, we are not giving MP any kind of priority.
When Engineers ...

Re: Russian conscripts
Yes that crazy high CD on engineers is what keeps conscripts in check. Engineers for CD encounters, vehicles for open terrain engagements.
That said, if you find conscripts supported by multiple support units... it should be pretty easy to outmaneuver them in any given MP map. It takes a lot of ...

Re: A Certain Panzer General's Adventures -- Generalissimus (No Liberator / Trophies of War / Heroes)
The issue isn't so much Kharkov '43 itself as it is that the devs have painted themselves into a corner by strictly increasing the number of core slots every scenario -- it's inevitable that it leads to every smaller scenario being a pushover. The PzC GC East "solved" that by just making every ...

Re: Historical Baltic Tips?
Having survived a brutal Bagration scenario, I am looking for tips for the next Baltic campaign scenario? It seems you need to be everywhere at once and though I have my best friends Karl and Gustav, I have problems figuring out a good deployment scheme.
Any hints?. I’ve finished all the other ...

Re: Revised Campaign Path
Sealion is entertaining in part because it's on the bleeding edge of plausibility - if Fighter Command had been destroyed, the airfields torn up by bombing, the radar huts destroyed, and if Operation Dynamo had not achieved the wild and unexpected level of success it did in evacuating men from ...

Re: A Certain Panzer General's Adventures -- Generalissimus (No Liberator / Trophies of War / Heroes)
The problem with that is that while you receive around 20 additional core slots, the Red Army is effectively cut in half, thus neutering any challenge in Kharkov '43. I'm firmly in the camp that the number of core slots should vary from scenario to scenario and not just increase, because the ...

Re: A Certain Panzer General's Adventures -- Generalissimus (No Liberator / Trophies of War / Heroes)
Regarding your opinion that you have too many core slots at this point. I don't really agree there, cause if you don't take your approach (and traits) to the game, you probably upgrade your units a lot around this time to more expensive units pretty much across the board. If you do that, the core ...

Re: Sorry about this, but....
Exactly also my opinion - Panzer Corps 2 is mostly boring - fast produced - without any historical details...
Its more for kids - possibly also for illiterate adults - but never for intelligent players of the old school...
Well, this is a beer and pretzel type of strategy game. So the game ...

Re: Weather giving me a hard time in Korsun
Ok, I just managed to beat it and it was actually easier than expected, especially once I figured you can also deploy your airforce on that airport in that encirclement, so 3 FW109A and 2 He129B2 helped out somewhat (although half the time they couldn't fly because of weather anyway).
Pulling ...

When I played the scenario, my rivers were not frozen. And yeah, it'd be a lot trickier with the rivers frozen, for sure.

Someone should post strategy tips for this scenario cause I've struggled mightly with it (even before the latest patch mind you), without being able to claim a victory.

Re: Please let Panzer Corps 2 live up to the untapped potential of the Grand Campaign
Of course I remember it. How else was I supposed to get that awesome Maus for Berlin. He was great!
Hmmm yea bonus and reward units. Definitely a big highlight from the Grand Campaign we should probably bring back to Panzer Corps 2 addon content.
We see a glimpse of this in Defenders of the ...

Also useful on AA and AT units, since their use is quite situational, and they tend to (generally) not get that much experience.Tassadar wrote: Tue Apr 28, 2020 10:19 pm Fast Learner on fighters, as they tend to accumulate experience slowly, especially at the start of the game.

Re: Please let Panzer Corps 2 live up to the untapped potential of the Grand Campaign
I totally agree with the OP.
The only thing I don't agree with is that the Grand campaign had the "creative and interesting scenario design" that hadn't been matched by any game prior. I think the mega campaigns for Steel Panthers (and a campaign a few years prior to that about operation Husky ...

Re: how do you decrease
that's one feature that needs to be changed. there is no reason 2 to 3 groups of Stukas can't attack the same target back to back to back in the same turn.
You couldn't do that in PG/PC1 either. It's just not part of the core mechanics of the series.
You could do it and far more reliably ...

Re: Kursk Deadly Grasped
Sadly I'm afraid the opposite is true. Civ 6 is a great case in point. It has sold very well despite having a useless AI. The majority of game sales are to casual gamers who actually get frustrated by and don't want a skilled AI.
Programming a competent AI, let alone an skilled one, is very hard ...

Not sure. I think people upgrade to the Do217 atleast along the way.gunnergoz wrote: Wed Apr 22, 2020 4:10 pm Doesn't the Do17z eventually become obsolete and hard to find replacement points for? This was my impression. Or has anyone actually taken the z all the way to 1945 and managed to keep it full strength?
