I always produce following saves (for every scenario):

- campaign map (before scenario)
- before deployment (deployment phase)
- after deployment (deployment phase)
- after upgrade / purchase (deployment phase) mcdvoice
- at the start of the scenario (turn 1)
- just before completing victory ...
